thought it was a big metaphor, the storytelling is great, leaves a lot of room for own thoughts and there is a lot of thought for thought. Found the cast very appealing too. intriguing to watch from start to finish. Loved it.
i loved this. it's intelligently written and has lovable characters. aside from deconstructing romcom genre, it has a heart of its own. Hasegawa Hiroki is extremly charming as educated idler - he's really all charming. and Anne is cute. Special gives a nice closure to the story. Just listetning to some dialogues is great and hthere is enough to leave behind warm memories. I love them! it's absolutely great! ah this was a great role for them both..

The moonlight is beautiful tonight. :)

i rather liked the female lead as a character, but a different actress could have been cast- this actress failed to convince me, that's all. it''s a fun series for the buddy theme, even if you don't buy the romance part. Heo is heaps of fun. He and Jung Il Woo do have fun interaction. It's hilarious!

Personally, I really liked the romance and it was a fun , light romantic comedy that was very enjpyable. but that actres..i don't think i want to see her in anything.

Does Xia Man An ever get her memories back?
she did. it was very subtle at the very end but she clearly gets them back.
I found this interesting, the end game with a twist in particular - it puts the protagonist to a test. And for me, he emerges victorious in some aspects. it's not boring, it's actually a little chilling and certainly a very interesting concept. i like this. i liked the ending punch. ...frankly, for me the guy won as a human being who wanted to abide by what is right. but maybe human in confrontation with a manipulative system is not enough. It wonlt be everyone;s cup of tea perhaps but it worked for me., for a drama special in particular, i found this interesting.. his antagonist was quite good too - and i liked her stoic calm presentation of the character who was a little chilling...maybe it's a little on the exaggerated side but for me the ideas were not bad at all. in fact, i enjoyed it.

Ah I miss your wonderful reviews, so beautifully woven.. This drama is really absolutely haunting. I thought that Waga looked a bit like Kim Myung Min's kang mae here, too. Ah, it's a gorgeously told story.

I'm sorry I'm not sure where. A friend brought it for me, and I don;t know if it's streamed anywhere. I hope you had some luck finding it though.

Review General and I
Sounds like a great novel. Thnks for the great review thatt made the novel sound quite amazing. I tend to prefer the dynamic in korean dramas and i dont like when in chinese dramas the dynamic you speak of is done in a way that makes males seem completely useless, i just don't like that..although of course i don't mind a smart, dignified, kind heroine....but Angela wasn't it for me...from what i glemed of it, it was quite...unfeeling overall. Polished but unfeeling, it seemed to lack heart and was very siff and artificial with emotion for me. overly pretty dramas put package above the contents ad heart, sadly and it is something i observed with other chinese dramas (remake of princess pearl is stupefying for instance). the producers of such remakes focus on packages...rather than on feelings, mood, delivery and keeping the spirit of character and stories....this sort of thing is relly jarring for me.

i do tend to like a lot of drmas for different reasons but there are thing si won;t be able to accept...and one is if a drama is done without feeling. i sense that because is usuall when i don connect with chaacters at all..for most dramas, even thse ha ma seem bad to others,i am able to connect with something. ..but not here...or in dramas like new huan zhu ge ge. which is now a nightmare to recollect...i used to try and want to postivie about that remake but urgh, no.

Anyway, great review, and thank you for describing the details of the book, it really made me want to read the book and forget about the drama. I'll check out Candle in the Tomb sometime.

This is a very shoujo movie, simple and familiar story, emphasizes the mood with a plot that may not always make logical sense but appeals to fluff side and premise alone (adopting a man off the streets) asks you to suspend your sense of realism from the get go. It's not very deep either, but the appeal lies in a well rendered, rather pure mood.

This movie is of pure type, nice as something feel good and if you are able to just enjoy the mood without picking on little details. You don't watch movies like this in the same way you would, say, a powerful intellectual high concept cinema like Old Boy. They serve different purposes and it makes little sense to look for something ambtious in a movie that simply wants to be warm, cute, fluffy and endearing without any pretences of grandeur or cynicism.. but each have their purpose and momen to be enjoyed properly. In a movie like this as far as I'm concerned story isn't so important, what matters is the mood created, it feels warm and pure.

I love pure feelings, and the Japanese are great at creating them.. movies like this appeal to me for the kind of pure feelings and mood that I tend to miss... Japanese are great at setting the right kind of (pure, warm) mood and delivery in the things the create and their dramas and movies really appeal to my sentimentality, dreamer's side and other things. This was a nice watch..

Aww he marred Kim Yoo-mi. Wishing them the very best. Still so so happy with thrahs oppa. He relly has good range. I' glad to see him doing movies more, much as I'd like a new drama wih him as lead.
On Hwang Jung Min Jan 27, 2017
He's asolutely lovely. Hs acting is effortless and easy to identfy with, he inhabits his characters so easily. I love him in every role he takes. He's a great actor with a very good range.

I wish he was appreciated more. his is a genuine craft from the heart that is real and authentic, he is credible in every role he takes.

He is handsome, just not "pretty empty boy" cute type of thing. He is manly though, or raher he;s gt thse kind of looks that immediately make him sem likeaable, a regular guy and that's awesome, i love that vibe, it makes him look reliable...and he is, as an actor..

Fortunately, he is still appreciated where it matters: he gets the awards he deserves and has fans he deserves. I'm happy for him, he is a really good, seasoned and convincing actor. In every role..he's just so super likeable. In every role it is just so clear he loves acting.ad I'm glad he is such a prolific movie actor and takes a lot of projects. :)

Man who was Superman is one of my top favourite movies

Thrash is forever and always my treasure, I'm really happy - he is one of my most favourite belloved Korean characters. I never have enough of him, though I watched the series ages ago. This remain my favourite Reply part. <3 The story was perfect, even with long episodes I loved spending time with all of them and never missed a second, I still didn;t have enough Thrash screen time.

Personally I enjoyed the drama and most of the enjoyment came from Kim Rae Won and Park Shin Hye - I really liked their back story. There was more of a story here and it may seem all over the place but it's there for me- about how both characters struggle to find their own happiness by leavng behind vengeful feelings that are vapid and counterproductive to their happiness/way of life they want to pursue. . They were left abandoned by various misfortunes whereas people they thought only greedy and corrupt had remained with everything..what were they to do? The theme might not seem strong but it's,sort of about internalising forgiveness and moving past bad things to find happiness and contetment, sort of "ignoring the trolls" and becoming more understanding and in their case- more professionals as doctors. What I loved most,I guess, is how compatible and in sync they were, one character said it- they are synced in work and love. Th storyline served to bring it out. And there's someting that feels innately humane and good natured about this drama- it;s not another exaggerated makjang. Idk.I connected with this storytelling in any case, I saw a point to it and it had a heart.

I really enjoyed this drama and these two are one of my otps these days. And I don;t usually even like Park Shin Hye, but I enjoyed her character. Kim Rae Won is as natural in his performance as they come, he reminded me what a good actor he is, he does embody his roles. I found it very enjoyable, it had the right feels for me as both characters struggled to understand what love is and how to relate to one another.I was subdued but that'swhere enjoyment of this drama came from, everythig was served in a light and subtle way. This drama was to my liking and is one of my favourites, actually for the otp.
