If you like Abe Hiroshi's work (and like Scooby Doo meets XFiles) try Trick. Abe Hiroshi's Shiroi Haru which I started watching also strikes me as pretty good. It's a family drama about a former yakuza who is just rlewased from prison.

What genre? If you're into anti-war movies, try watching movies TaeGukGi and Joint Security Area. You could try watching Cain&Abel;-it;s pretty fast paced but can be lame at times, if you're into heavy makjang- try Royal Family - this is about rich families and their complicated relationships centred around money and power, basically. You could try Don Quixote. Also perhaps meitainei no okite for a parody of detective genre cliches. if you like alternative versions of history, you could try watching Oooku: lady shogun and her men, it's based on a manga, though there are some things you 'd have to be willing to accept on faith. in terms of movies you could also try the good, the bad and the wierd, a pretty fast paced action/western flick, referring to the 1966 film The Good, the Bad and Ugly..

Hard at work myself, but I decided to take a break and do some marathoning of dramas that I've alreay seen. last month has been heck of a lot stressful for me. But I was startint o miss the chats I was havibng with everyone here so ...can;t stay away for too long, lol.

Also some of the dramas I've completed lately are those I watched many years ago, I just felt like refreshig some moments in them and up the ratings, when it;s warranted, so all I've been doing is epsode skipping most of the time. heh. I will finish bad guy when I come back from my trip next week because that's when I will need to get my mind on to somethibng else and bad guy will be a good distraction.

And also, it looks like you do have quite a few people on MDL who care whether or not you are around, so focus on those people, the good, rather than the bad. Everything else is not worth your effort- and definitely not owrth getting worked up, so please try to keep the spirits up, rather than down Yeona. Fighting!

I took a break, yes, I simply had enough of always being busy and deceided to take a deep breath and stop, though I am going away on Tuesday and will be back next Monday, it's a work-related trip. I really was hoping you'd break and come back... I really don't think getting worked up over people in any online community, (indeed gettign worked up over people in general), especially people we don't really know and especially people who clearly have no sense of what they are saying, is worth it, Yeona. There will always be spiteful individulas who just want to play on your nerves. I've met quite a few individuals like that lately - but I can't quit what I"m doing because of it. Their attitude is their problem, not mine and I'm not going to let that bring me down.
Just forget about that person, clearly definitely not worth your time and effort. to think about it.

Good. You should have never left in the first place, Yeona. No, it's not that it's a pain, it is an above average drama it' s just I am not in the mood for Kim Nam Gil at the moment. I will finish it soon. Besides I watched parts of ep 11 and 12 but I thought I'd give it more attention so I haven't marked that yet because I want to watch them properly; and lately I've been in the mood for dramas I can episode skip through lol.

Well I do like romance dramas, that's why I am somewhat enjoying take care too - though there were really quite a few moments when I just rolled my eyes- it may seem different on the surface due to the very rare aviation setting but it;s really quite standard; it really has got nothing on good luck. I reported the earlier comment I made- since it's perhaps too spoilerific, but I still feel very accomplished that I'd encourage you to watch GL for the third time hahaha. ^_^ I'll let her know when I do watch it- I've seen her review now and I found myself nodding at when whe wrote that she started to watch it because of her usernmae lol.

So true, absolutely! Yes, I liked that too about the drama. And a woman mechanic too! You know, the thing I thought made TCoUC promising was the idea of a woman arliner pilot, there aren't many after all, either. That's why the development as a pilot would have been so important...and what I saw was not what I was hoping for. I liked Captain Koda's portrayal a lot too in Good luck,I loved Tsutumi Shinichi in that role, he made the perfect Koda. I will certainly give Crazy For you a try, I was actually thinking about it some time ago mostly because it reminds me so much about Crazy4You, the MDL user haha. But you just sealed my wish to watch it! ^^

Good luck I also watched at least three times by now, to be honest - I have to up my ratings a little- and I myself loved the Mizushima - KimuTaku's characters development/ friendship and the focus on growth as a pilot as well.

Like there was an accident in the past The difference is the character is a woman pilot (who was very affected by that accident) and essentailly she falls in love with the young Captain figure (who participated in that accident) they both say they love flying but the drama really doesn't, to me, do it too well, there is some fying especially at the start but it gives way to the focus, which is romance and romantic trinagle, or rather square (two other characters: control tower person and a stewardess..)... in aviation setting and their somehat overdramatised backstories.

Aww, sounds like you have a lot on your mind. I've been busy too, so busy that I could barely think. Next week I am going on a trip and I need to prparefor a presentation I am doing then and then when I get back I will spend two days watching Moon/Sun ^^ Jst completed take care of us, captain, but i was expecting something else so I am disappointed a little, but I guess it was an okay watch all in all. I gotta atch Tie Dog.Wolf sometime soon but first finish off bad guy some day.

I really really like the cast but they're somewhat wasted on this drama...the idea has so much potential because there are few aviation dramas..but Good Luck!! is so mucgh better! Still, this isn;t a bad watch at times, the beginning was quite strong but it really lapsed into standard korean drama later on, and with very weak writing at times too. But pacing feels well done.
