Visual novel with rpg elements, but more visual novel-stat raising. Can be tedious if you don't like this sort of thing but it's quite rich.

a bit more to it in terms of gameplay, it would have been perfect, bu it was good as it was. Plus it was the only game in which the girl character actually got the equivalent of Harvest Goddess to pursue as a marrriage candidate! Harvest King is such a tsundere bishie but it was great that the girl side finally had justice done; boys always got the harvest goddess to marry in many of the games. Well there were special characters in the GBA game, like Kappa but well, he was more offputting than a bishie tsundere harvest king. Lol.

They annonced another game for 2015 I think so it doesn't seem like they are willing to give up. Looks like they will keep trying. I think the more varied these games become the wider audience they will reach. Older games will appear to one type of dempgraphic, these new games are probably targeted at the younger generations.

I like how you describe her; being one with writing is what I like, also in games and so many gam makers just don't pay enough attention to it.; or maybe: they think they feel it but results can be atrocious. I think to write like that you really need to have wide reading experience, not just knowledge of the tropes that are popular. That's why it's so hard to write. It's a struggle to give the characters sufficient depth and something that would makle them beliveable. Not real, but beliveable. Ohhh I loved Animal Parade. Animal Parade was the only one I had problems chosing husbannds, it had many good characters. The good thing about AP was that it actually HAD characters that felt like character but I found it lacking in game plot/objectives.

Well, the story is pretty gripping overall and ambience is quite powerful. i think maybe I should revisit both versions at some point too. never tried xbox really but there are lots of games I loved in the past. Thank you. The part I like the most is inveting characters and their features.

no, it;s not really a sim, it has a strong plot. It has several paths the player can choose (you really can;t do all paths at once in one gameplay because you have no time!) and they are are labelled as "Dreams" so by playing and making vhoices in the game you influence that character's dream; the score of the dream determines your ending and the ending of the path you take: it can range from very bad to best. There is a lot of stat raising that is based on outcomes of other choices and trainings. There is a huge map (the chaaracter is an archeology student and travels to various digs anf the character is very vivacious. It;s quite challenging. The setting is New York 1930- very original for a game. There are spoofs of adventure stories and it's quite funny at times.

yes, to the moon is an emotional story, once you get sucked in I think you can get out. The world is thought out and character quite the pair and the stories within are just lovely. For an rpg maker game, this one goes way way beyond the mediocrity churned out nowadays in mass numbers. I hope you will find the place and time to play it; it's a wothwile experience in my humble opinion.

Kind of playing an otome-stat raising game at the moment. Pretty good one though. Developed by an indie developer; the name is Schehrezade at the Library of Pergamum; has an interesting stat raising system and a gameplay that is rich enough to be involving. It's also very long and has over 100 endings. I love that. I'm also replaying a game called To The Moon-this one has an excellent story.

The script I am tryig to write is for a harvest moony-rpg type of game, except mechanics would not be based on traditional farming, but still a certain type of "farming" would be involved. I based it on a certain northern fairy tale that I loved.

The part I love the most about writing is inventing characters and their descriptions. I use various doll makers to generate the appareance since I"m no artist but it helps to vosualise them. And the doll makers have become really increaasingly ambitious in recent times, so I found quite a few that offer powerful creation options.

Ah! I was unable to play Fire Emblem because I was just very poor at the tactics. I never knew how to plan my moves! Always ended up scraping for a win there. I like the engagement system though. I only played Rune Factory 2, which was quite rich, with two generations and a story to go with the farming. old hm offered a lot more ambitious goals. I liked DS one (6) for girl; it was somehiw refreshing. I think things turned out badly because they began to put quantity over quality in a bid to sell more which only ended up doing harm

I wonder if the move to 3ds will improve things, or will it be another bland cliche. I liked the courting and marriage aspect to the game too. Oh but I could mention so many features they did right in some of of those games but I have no space (like the sun points system in one of them- that was very good)

Maou is fast paced but I prefer the Korean version; it speak to my emotions much more/ That and in this case it's a matter of first seen preference: I saw the devil first and thought Maou was too much of a repetition and disliked it, but the story overall is great. If you didn;t like Korean version, chances are you;ll like this much more but I felt the Korean version brought out the emotions better in this case. But the story doesn't differ; it;s not a story about the who but about the how and the psychology of it is the best part, that's why I preferred Mawang. I do hope you will like Maou.

Sorimachi Takashi is a good actor and the kid is totally endearing. I think you may like it.

Yeah. There is so much we could change if we had the knowledge..but could we?
