Can we get gd historical dramas like this again ? I barely see any gd historical dramas nowadays with complex story lines and tons of sword fights. I hope we get gd dramas like this in future.

Yes now that you mention it I rarely see chinese dramas with modern action theme or chrime thriller genre similar to kdramas like K2, healer, city hunter. XK in that sought of a role would be perfect 😍. I see that most of the chinese dramas are more about xianxia, wuxia, historical and modern.
Xu Kai is handsome but it's more of the strange looks that are nice. He has that mysterious and killer vibe going…
His character in ALP as bai jue and BLH in SF6 are one of the memorable roles of him for me out of his xianxia dramas. Yes since he tried a lot of good roles it would be great to see him in a villain role. I'm a bit picky when it comes to watching chinese dramas since not every drama is my cup of tea. But I'm impressed that I have watched majority of XK dramas. Only a gd actor can make me follow their works. So I won't be that worried about his works as I'm sure he will pick gd scripts. The only thing that bothers me is he always gets pair with actress who are much older than him. I hope he works with actors who are closer to his age like esther yu and tian xiwei ofc its not his choice to be made. And I would like to see him acting in a role like GYZ in AMA. He was hilarious in that😂My fav role of him.
