The realtionship between these two is complicated at this point. Joke helps eventhough he has feelings and at some point we will understand why and at the same time Zo needs help but his feelings and intentions progressively become unclear. The realization for me is totally the library scene! When Zo was reading from the book beside Joke it seemed really comfortable for him and in comparison the same situation with Nita was kind of off... and I'm pretty sure Zo felt the difference
