Title A Balloon's Landing Spoiler
This movie is wonderful (although a bit confusing to me at times due to certain plot points). Anyone who is considering…
And as for the people being mad that it's "not BL", either they haven't seen the movie or we have very different definitions of BL. Some may label it as being bromance, but I dont see how anyone can watch this and see the relationship as anything but two people in love. The constant longing glances, touches, nervousness during that beach scene, even Xiang fixing himself up before seeing Tian Yu at the festival. Just because there are no blatant kissing or sex scenes in a show doesn't mean there isn't love between two characters.

This movie is wonderful (although a bit confusing to me at times due to certain plot points). Anyone who is considering watching, don't pay attention to the low ratings. I guarantee they were left by people who got mad from rumors without even watching the film first. It's a gorgeous movie with lots of emotion and great acting.

This was enjoyable for about the first hour where it was building tension, but then it just completely fell flat for me. Too many coincidences, too many pointless decisions by characters, pretty much no backstory or motives to the characters' actions... There were even a couple moments where I found myself chuckling at the ridiculousness of them.
I actually ended up fast-forwarding through the whole final "climactic" scene just because I couldnt be bothered to care about any of these characters.
If you are a Si Wan fan like me then I'd say it's worth a watch, but dont expect to have your mind blown or to want to watch it again.

It was a good watch but the highest rated drama here of ALL TIME? Hmm...Most of the side plots/cases weren't that…
Exactly! I also gave it an 8.5/10. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it and really liked the main characters and the general plot. But there were just enough plot points that kinda made me go "eh, really?" or felt a little forced, which in turn took me out of the focus of watching it at times. I'm also not crazy that it left off so clearly insinuating a season 2. I personally prefer my kdramas (or any Asian dramas, for that matter) to be a single, powerful season rather than trying to drag out a story for multiple seasons. I didn't get the super emotional feeling from the last episode of this drama that I usually get from final episodes, so that was a bit of a letdown.
Overall I did love this drama and had a good time watching it, but I wouldn't rank this as one of the best kdramas of all time or as one of my top 3 or anything like that.

The beauty of Old Town of Pukhet, the color schemes plus the sunsetty-musky cinematography is a distinct feature…
I agree! However I personally feel like the cinematography and the lighting/vibes will match well with the titles. So like how ITSAY was very warm and "sunset"-like, and how LTIP was similar to ITSAY but a little bit more dim and chill with lighting, I'm personally expecting IPYTM to visually seem a little more cool-toned and darker and "moon"-like. I already kinda got that vibe from the trailer, so I'm excited! Regardless, I know it's going to be filmed just as beautifully as ITSAY and LTIP.
I can't wait for Korea to make longer BL dramas with plots that are more on the level of "straight" dramas in terms of production and storylines. I realize that these miniseries are most likely the creators just dipping their toes into the water to gauge audience and industry reaction without risking too much, but these 10 minute episodes make it hard to get super invested in the story and make the plots just seem so much less "serious and realistic" (as much as drama plots can be, lol) than other Kdramas.

Don't get me wrong, I have loved each of these mini BL series that have released so far, but I'm really looking forward to the day we get a strong, dedicated, full-length BL drama from Korea with all the high quality acting/production/scripts/etc. that Korean dramas are known for.
