I really want to watch this drama, but I saw that it’s rated MA for sex and nudity. Personally, I would prefer not to see that. Can anyone confirm or deny if it does indeed have sex and nudity?
Reading the comments below, quite a few people are pointing out the mistakes and the simple story, but really, it's webdrama; what do you expect? It's meant to be lighthearted and cute. If you're someone who has seen a lot of webdrama, you start to learn that a majority of them are like this. For me, they're a lighthearted drama that I can watch when the melodrama becomes too heavy in a serious drama I might currently be watching. I understand some mistakes in these dramas are most times hard to overlook, but over time I've learned one thing with webdramas. Watch it with lower expectations then you would a high budget drama and realize from the start it's not going to be as good. With all this in mind, the drama was actually very cute for what it was, it was lighthearted and a good weekend watch for something simple.
Is this worth watching? I've already watched Playful Kiss (korean ver), Itazura na kiss (Japanese ver) and It…
Yes! Definitely worth it. I've read the manga, watched the anime and have seen every remake except for the Thai one, I think out of all the remakes, this is definitely my favourite~
This is a really good chase/thriller movie. But there is no backstory on how the infection started.
If you watch the 1 hour and 25 minute mark again, Analyst Kim laughs at the fact that Busan has a great military.
Breaks down when he tells Seok Woo that they funded YS Biotech. As we know, biotechnology is not just used for military purposes, but also commercial ones. He worked for a company as a fund manager. This is stated in the 35 minute mark.
Therefore it was his company who was funding everything.
As to why? Why is anything ever funded for biotechnology? Well, if you know what biotech is, this is pretty self explanatory.
Concerning why I believe the military could be involved, is just due to the ironic laugh at the 1 hour and 25 minute mark that Analyst Kim gives after talking about Busan's defenses.
About the motive that they had for engineering a Zombie type disease, who knows? From the looks of it, the plan was not a zombie disease. It was probably something that went wrong and they tested on animals. The animals were the first zombies. (The beginning of the movie.)
As for if it was really part of the government's plan or not, that's debatable. But, does the government really need a reason to experiment with sketchy stuff?
Usually in the movies it's to create some sort of super soldier or creating a virus that can infect and wipe out a whole nation.
This is only what I've gathered from the movie, but I'm not 100% sure on the military part, but people who work at Biotech labs experiment with all sorts of genetic engineering.
The end got me so frustrated and sad because I was like "you saw that the guy was infected why didn't…
Yeah, but human compassion, emotion, etc. They were probably feeling a whole lot of things. Plus, it wasn't going to be any easier to fight him while he still was of a sound mind. He wouldv'e fought back and thought he was right just as he had throughout the whole movie.
It's also really a cute remake so many people are hoping they will make the second season.
Completely.
