Some fans are angry because the product change the plot (like, soft XF, too much RY and demon princess screen time and they barely see XF and JM) (I would say they add on too much)
So, screenwriter issue the statement that that’s not her work. Those are added by producers because they want to extend the drama from 40 ep to 60 ep and so on...
Anyway, I think it’s not that bad... But ...for the last episode I think they took too much screen time ...like..when JM cry, my tears almost fall off but I suddenly saw RY and his maid too long and my tears automatically dry up, all my feelings die there.... :p

I fully understand your view. By the way, I have never like XF from the book. And this novel was always on my on hold list for a long time. Please don’t be mistaken that I’ll take XF’s side blindly.

I think you misunderstood my words. What I am saying is...it is not that XF take evil side...
It’s just because ...that person is his mother who give birth to him, raise him and love him more than anyone else. And she did all of that partly for him even though he had never want that.
This is like ancient time royal family...not 21st century. One can’t just send his own mother to jail. Even if it’s 21st century...will that be easily done?

As I mentioned before..when he come back everything has been finalized, his father choose the empress (it’s politic) No one , even water god did not take any action. If you send empress to jail because of concubine, the whole country will ruin.

XF feel guilty because of that matter and tell Night that he did not want the throne and he will support Night.
What more he could do? Kill his mom? Send her to prison even when the emperor is protecting her?
I’m not telling Night is not pitiful, he is. But later...

Night chose to respond evil with evil and hurt some people that he should not have hurt.

XF never protect the evil. BUT I would say he did neglect his job of saving the world because he was so busy wooing JM...
If he was in heaven realm at that moment...he might have stop his mom but unfortunately he follow JM to human realm because he know that his mother will kill her. He just chose to save his love more than others.
He doesn’t even know Night’s mother exist. He is not fortune teller how will he be able to tell those will happen.
When he come back to heaven, all the matter has been finalized. What is he to oppose the emperor decision?

I just watched spoiler...that’s intense more than I expected...my tears*sigh*....Now, I’m not even sure I will be able to ship XF with JM...unless JM suffer a lot!!

I think this problem will slove when JM and XF relationship is good again. Their relationship is like ...after a long wait, when things start to heat up, it suddenly meet “Ice bucket challenge”....their push and pull relationship is actually slow and frustrating to watch to the point that views start picking on other cast screen time. ( ^ω^ )

Anyhow... I do think those are still necessary. For example, demon princess. In order for XF will rule the demon world ..they need to have connection/ alliance. So, the couple appear. One work for heaven queen and another one is from demon world. (If they are not couple, who knows people might start shipping her with XF and their might be a plot like XF own her so take her as a queen, then people will start to pity her when XF end up with JM) ♪(´ε｀ )
However, in order to cut off unnecessary drama, she has lover and XF help him so she will feel she own him and she might help him in the future to take over the throne and so on... (well, she has her own army)（≧∇≦）

My view is a little bit different from you. Before, I also did think XF is naive...but now I think about it, he is always the first person to get the news from heaven and demon world. He figure things pretty quickly, solved some problems and warn some people too.
The thing he didn’t know is the love mess that happen before he born. (Emperor and his wives) I think he has never care about it and thought it would be this serious until he met JM.

More importantly, we have never seen work mood XF, have we? All his screen times are mostly with JM, where he was in his love fool mood. He is too naive when it comes to JM’s matter. This is his first love so...let’s just forgive him a bit.

I don’t think he would touch SH. He has always know JM save him and visit him secretly all the time... and that makes him hard to move on.

Well... they show how pitiful crying Night was for couple of episodes ...so everyone start to fight between 2 male leads.

I think that statement was released before Night become bad to the point that whenever I see his face I just want to slap him to wake up.

If I were XF, I would hate JM... just imagine the one you love, who you think she also love you, one day, suddenly kill you while you are protecting her... and she even told you she has never love you before....
if he is not lucky...he would have disappeared from the world already... and he lost everything in just one day...brother, lover, parents, and friends...what single evil thing has he done to deserve that? Even if he choose SH, is it wrong?...(well at least she still like him and good to him...if we have not read the novel we will not know SH kill JM Dad)
He almost lost his life by “Loving”... so I think he try to choose “Being loved”
Anyway he didn’t like SH, he just use SH as a cover...he won’t want to show the woman who kill him to see how he still desperately love her...will he?

1)XF doesn’t know. He was just too busy thinking how JM doubt him. In next episode trailer, JM told him about the flame spell that kill her parents and XF answer only him and his mother can use it. So JM start to accuse him as murderer.
I think it’s better to wait for subtitle as it can be misleading if we watch raw...
2)I don’t think XF protecting his mother life is wrong too. No matter good or bad that person is the one who give birth to him in order to meet JM... he save his mother life but he didn’t beg the emperor to release her from prison thox...

As for me XF is like a love fool kid who knows nothing about how dark the world is. More importantly he is not the crown prince so he doesn’t actually have the power, authority to make decisions . During the last episodes, I doubt JM deserves XF love. I really wish JM will just marry with Night and let XF move on...and have his own happiness away from those people.

At first I have no expectations from this show but now I’m loving it more than TMOPB.
AOL and TMOPB are similar but they have different vibe. ONE is mature and quite while one is young and energetic.
TMOPB’s characters are much more mature. They can think about saving the world protecting the heaven while AOL’s characters are straggling to even save themselves from everything . (Their enemy is not just from Demon world)
If you compare, TMOPB is like in their 30s (they are like 14000 years old) while this one is like 20s (young and innocent, like when QQ met her first love in TMOPB)

Overall, it’s just that this two drama both take place is same Buddhism world (heaven & hell). The rest is not same.

XF did nothing wrong. He even come to apologize Night...I’m pretty sure XF would have prevent Night’s mother dead, if he was not in human realms....
