this fl might be the most irritating i've seen yet. she's so rude for not much reason, super inconsistent, frustratingly uncommunicative, and is so unbelievably selfish. frankly, sure i get that she's working through some trauma, but wow does she make everything everyone else's problem. i don't see the appeal in her character, or any fl written in a similar way. i don't care how pretty you are, but in the real world, this is how you die alone.
i'm so sick of female leads always doing crap they were BEGGED not to do. this is some entitlement that would be coming out her ears, which she apparently exchanged for her eyes. can we also talk about how it took her a full 40 seconds to tell him her name?? he had to ask if her name was really hong hong, for god's sake.

i'm just finished episode 2 (because i've been patiently waiting to binge!) and i nearly died laughing from that scene where the OG yakuza geezers come barging in with their frying pans, iron pipes, and mop handles HAHAHAAA. i love lee je hoon's works, but there is zero doubt in my mind that the taxi driver series is probably the most fun he's had in his distinguished career.
this drama was truly a waste of 8 hours. i see what they were going for, but it missed spectacularly. it felt like one of those rubbish web dramas written by total newbies to test the market for emerging idols. ma dong seok's debut as a screenwriter was clearly a flop, but trying something new is never a bad thing. exploring it shouldn't be out of the question, but perhaps bring on a veteran on to the next project and work together instead.
i'm guessing that most of the cast are in it for a good time and not necessarily because they thought this was going to be a massive hit despite the mostly star studded list. working with each other and MDS might have been a factor as well. this stands for PHS, SIG, and SDI in particular. i don't remember them ever being in dramas this terrible.
BUT WILL SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THAT RANDOM MUTE SNAKE CHARACTER THAT DOES FUCK ALL?? i truly don't understand what her role in all this was. she had ONE expression, and NO lines. what was the point of her?? of all the disappointments, this was oddly the one that hit the hardest. i'd rather her character just have been killed off with the other four to begin with, and have the pig be a mukbanger or something instead. i don't know. the whole drama was a mess, but something about this character and casting really pissed me off.

lol you're right. i've finished it now, and he's much more likable later on. i jumped the gun when i made this comment, but in my defense he was a real pest for the first 7 eps!
this show has the worst written villain and dumbest premise ever. sorry, but what secretary of state runs a shadow branch of the NIS and just has a license to kill? also, since she only turns up for like an 8th of the show, we don't know anything about her or her motivations. even the conception of oz just seems lazy, to be honest. for a shadow organization that stayed hidden for 25 years, they sure do screw up a lot, don't they.
i nearly threw my whole laptop away when ba reum first suspects a whole ass MIND SWAP. the whole idea is absurd. although the transplant of the frontal cortex is MARGINALLY more realistic, the patient would likely have died a few days into recovery, if not on the table. i realise it's crucial to the plot and this is hardly a medical drama, but does this series have zero basis in reality? if you told me that ba reum underwent hypnosis to "cure" his psychopathy (also unrealistic, but achievable for short term results), i'd be more inclined to get behind the idea.
i will say that the twists and turns were fun to watch, but the subpar acting from some of the cast really screwed things up for me. i shall not name names.
and, WOW POOR YOHAN, this whole show really did him dirty.
seriously, has no one here seen john wick though?? the plot in the few episodes is pretty much identical. they just switched a dog out for a brother. not to say i don't like it though. i'll be coming back on the days i'm angry at bosses and need some gratuitous violence. or i might just go see john wick again. who knows.

anna is basically every helpless mary sue every played throughout history. i loved almost every other aspect of this show but her character. HOWEVER. i also recent watched half of king the land (she was that unbearable), and am now convinced that yoona is just better without acting in her resume. if she can't generate chemistry with hyun bin, ji chang wook, lee jung suk, and lee jun ho.. then maybe just give up. chemistry angels like these men not being able to rescue anything she's been in is a legit sign.
Im kind of weirded out as to why so many people dismiss this movie saying its voyeristic, needlessly violent, and no actual revenge taken in the end so what was the point etc.

Also, her sister being the priority, she would obviously not what to go back to jail, as this happened because she wasnt there. Shed get away with a bit of mutilism, because these men are obviously not going to come clean about what they did to deserve this.

Saw a commment about the "panty shot" after Eun Hye gets off the bus and it made me so angry. This is a girl who was in so much fear and pain, no one helped her when she begged for it on a bus full of women no less. That sequesence showed her desperation to be relieved of this nightmare, not to give anyone any form of viewing pleasure.
This is by no means a 10/10 movie, but it doesnt deserve the narrow minded reviews most of the posters here gave it. It is simply a movie about a woman trying to find her sister, finds out how people have hurt her along the way, and gave them far less pain than they they deserved. Honestly, i would have done a lot worse.

The leg closeups are very telling of the stand point of the men in thia movie and the view they have of the women around them; as sexual playthings. Watching this movie, i saw no voyerism or pleasure in it at all.
Most annoying female lead ever. Like right up there with every role by go ara. Dropped after 8 eps because i couldnt stand her bright eyed bushy tailed, busy body, enthusiastic while incumberant character anymore. Idiot puts herself in shitty situations then goes "HOW DID THIS HAPPEN??" Male lead deserved way better that this sorry excuse for an opposite.
Plot was crap and jin se yeon was effing rubbish. The only saving grace was maybe Lee Jong suk's easy charm, and the eye candy. Park hae jin was gorgeous as always, but added nothing to this drama whatsoever. Only finished this because I wanted to know how badly a drama could possibly disappoint, and I have to say, I haven't felt angst like this since maybe nail shop Paris. Complete opposites, sure, but both equally unfuckingbearable.

The writers should feel ashamed. Seriously, if you haven't seen this, please save yourself a weekend and don't bother.
