they aren't pushing it as desirable, it's just a world they have created, why get so defensive about it, by your logic, historical dramas shouldn't exist because they are "pushing a system rooted in birth-based hierarchy", they are just showing an alternate universe where history remains more influential than today's world. I think thats great use of imagination, like the suits and cloths with subtle touches of hanbok. If you are speaking to a human, speak as a human. Maybe one day you will forget how to phrase thoughts or put things into words if you keep relying on it, your brain gonna forget how to do such simple tasks like interacting with others.

Oh yes, I was strictly speaking on the criticism on the actors themselves, and well the hate they're getting for being "unable" to act. I completely agree that plot isn't impressive so far, and tropes aren't great either, although I will continue to watch. And you must note this comment specifies the actors, not mentioning the plot, etc. Also I'm not saying this person is hating or this comment is particularly, I'm talking about the comments they are talking about, if that makes sense. Like ones about BWS showing no emotions/expressions, or saying he's so stiff with botox. Ofc IU too has has been getting this type of hate, significantly less than BWS, at least in this comment section. Exactly why I said justified & constructive criticism is welcome, this is not a perfect drama, and of course we can discuss that. The "if you have nothing nice to say, keep it to yourself" is targeted at the hate comments, not at the person. Have a nice day <3

yes that i completely agree with, but ngl even with kdramas that have good scripts, this happens way too much, the maturity level of fans are so different, or maybe the tone is already set that way in the comment sections.
