was not looking forward to this and had low expectations. it is surprisingly very good. possibly one of the best gay / BL series from GMMTV. probably down to the brilliant acting. when you have a production with Khaotung, First, Mark and Neo, you know the acting will be through the roof. Khaotung and Mark in particular have played completely different characters. so nice to see Neo play someone completely devious for once…he usually plays someone with a heart of gold that exudes goodness. Also enjoying Book and Force. one thing I like about this series is that it is hard to see how it will all pan out. I don’t see happy endings for everyone….or anyone…
ha ! as I predicted last week, Nathew was the ex. I didn't expect him to play a completely nutty character. so interesting how there is a role reversal between Jam and Film compared to their characters in "Khun Chai". Jam's character was lying to Film's character with a hidden agenda while here we have Film's character lying to Jam's character with a hidden agenda. As for Tee and Tan, I was confused to see where their relationship started and had to go back to last week's episode to see if I missed something....love how we don't need explicit scenes to feel the love....as for posting on IG, how stupid is Tan? I blame Tee for not checking...I guess he was blissfully distracted...what Tan's father said was the saddest thing a parent could say to a child....
omg. the Thai version is not my favorite BL but 3 minutes into this one and I am loving the Thai version! Each country's BLs have their unique style and traits. I always feel remakes will not capture the cultural nuances that make a series great. I am seeing this in this remake and dreading the Thai Cherry Magic.
adding this to my watchlist. I literally can’t get enough of Heo Sung Tae. He is such a brilliant actor. I’ve seen him now in Voice, Beyond Evil and Squid Game. just started The Watcher because he is in it. He may be typecast a little bit love it. also like how he spoke a lot of Russian in Beyond Evil.
Just finished this. although I've posted on various places that it would end up being a bromance and not a BL, after watching it to the end, I concede that I was wrong. This series actually surprised me. I am shocked that they went full BL with this and went as far as possible and crossed the line between bromance and BL. I am not sure if it will be widely available in China and whether it will be banned but kudos to the production teams and actors for putting this together. I sincerely hope there will not be any backlash against the production team and the actors.
i wonder if they will show more about Charn's ex? 👀 he looks like a dangerous person and the friend did mention…
i think the focus will be on the ex and also how the second couple get caught. I am predicting the ex will be Nathew. he hasn’t made an appearance yet and he is in the cast. he was in TSWL as well.
Fun Facts * Phumjai’s dad is Nanon’s dad IRL * Tammy’s sister IRL is Piglet who was in Waterboyys the series which was directed by the same director that made Waterboyy the movie that starred Ngern who plays Phumjai's brother *probably a random coincidence but the actor who plays Phumjai's friend, Odo, is blasian and his surname (Akubia) seems to be from Ghana in West Africa. The word 'odo' means "love" in one of the main languages in Ghana.
why does it have such a love rating already ? first time I am seeing Ngern Anupart since Water boyy: the movie. he was so good in that. RIP to his costar Bean. gone too soon.
