What started as a story about the FL gradually grew into a family saga, following not only her life but also her second family, the neighbours and the ML’s family. Their stories intertwine, and the drama becomes about so much more than the main couple.

The FL was a real highlight for me. Capable, fair and admirable without being unrealistically perfect. The relationship between the leads felt more like a partnership than a romance driven by intense chemistry, but it suited the story.

There is something reminiscent of a classic period novel about the way the FL’s story unfolds. Rather than focusing solely on romance, we follow her through life’s changing circumstances, the relationships she builds and the families whose lives become intertwined with hers. We get to see not just a chapter of her life, but the bigger picture, right through to the next generation.

I started watching without being entirely sure about it, but I am so glad I did.
