Apparently "poetic license" is given to writers, producers and directors, but not to actors? How much influence would an actor have on historical blunders anyway, outside of refusing to take the part? That puts the actor between a rock and a hard place. As an international, I call "BS" on this "over the top" bullying by Knetizens! Do they have the right to point out discrepencies? Yes! Do they have the right to shut down productions? No! State your case but let each individual viewer decide if they want to watch or not. BTW, how come no one has brought to our attention the fact that there is no "constitutional monarchy" in SKorea? It is a democratice republic.

I have always thought the industry should not encourage such skinniness...looking at all those bony knees makes me feel ill! Have you see Park Min Young and Lee Sung Kyung lately? Way too skinny! Well, my concern is the absence of the Romance genre. This means there will be little to no chemistry between the leads, which is a shame, but will make it easier for PSH (who kisses like a cold fish anyway). GKP has been known to "plant one" on a good female lead like Park Min-young, but PSH is not known for being a good kisser nor showing how to receive a good kiss, lol!

I have never seen a more magnificent specimen of a king as his portrayal. He looked the part, sounded the part and acted the part with absolute perfection. He should do more of these because I believe he would just SLAY! I'm going to watch him closely from now on. Previously, his hair was the draw for me, but now his whole persona is the draw for me. Well done, Kim Ji-hoon!

MinJi23, you already clarified your position earlier. Don't feel like you need to respond to everyone's opinions. We'll agree to disagree on whether or not he actually smoked because all I saw was smoke twirling around in his mouth...that's not necessarily smoking. And everyone that responded isn't criticizing you and other casual smokers, per se. It is a fact (admitted by the Tobacco Associations themselves) that smoking period is hazardous to your health.
We should applaud him for being a good role model to Korean citizens and there really could be less emphasis on drinking and smoking in S. Korea. If the west can wean themselves, so can they.

As a former smoker, I wasn't convinced he was really smoking...he didn't inhale. A plausible answer could be it was done with CGI. I was surprised to see Kim Woo-bin smoking in his comeback drama, Black Knight. Due to public concern for him being a cancer survivor it was explained that he didn't really smoke, but it was done with CGI.

Apparently, SK's airport security sucks or else celebrities wouldn't feel the need to pay for more secure measures for their safety from sasaeng fans and overzealous reporters. And police handling of sasaengs is also ineffective. The sasaeng problem is so bad that some stars suffer from PTSD-like symptoms. Anytime there is a human element involved there will be mistakes, so issues on both sides should be weighed before rash judgements are made. BWS's management team handled the incident well, I think. Having a lack of concern for the privacy of a celebrity by the average citizen smells like biased jealously, IMHO.
