I don't think the female lead seems weak at all. There is literally a reason she is naive and has been stated many times. If you've seen other xanxia's with a female lead as the center then it is quite easy to understand this plot. I also don't think that Yukee is doing a bad job, if you think she's a bad actress well that's all subjective.
That being said, this drama is alright. It isn't exceptional by any means. It is predictable and contains many cliches, but it is easy to watch. The editing of the earlier fighting scenes bother me a lot. I mostly really enjoy the chemistry and good banter between our leads. As someone who has recently completed The Love Lasts Two Minds I can tell you with certainty that it is so nice to see a male lead with some expression. YUNXI FINALLY MALE LEAD AND KILLING IT WITH HIS FLIRTY EYES AND SMIRK. Everyone is generally is so much more animated and not a blank sheet and it is really darn nice.
I only like the 'new' Ji Soo insofar as how she's treating her birth mother. She's actually NOT being 'new', BTW.…
I'm glad to have found someone who shares similar sentiments. Tbh I'm not fond of Jian's character at all. I try really hard but she's too perfect, I'm not with all the self sacrificing at the very least if there was a simple moment within the last 23 episodes where I didn't feel as if she was a mary sue I could enjoy her more. I need to see a moment where she doesn't have a forlorn expression on her face. I find myself just gliding over her scenes and not paying attention, even skipping at most parts.
I'm not afraid to drop dramas... when I first started kdramas, I thought I absolutely had to finish them all and now I couldn't care less. I could make it all the way to episode 10 and still drop a drama if I feel some type of way about anything. You learn to live with the fact that people have different tastes than you and that's it.

W -: I only made it to the point where he did the mannequin challenge at the end of episode 5? 6? who knows. ? Honestly it was just way too frustrating for me and I tried really hard to like it especially because everyone did.
Tomorrow With You -: Ughh I was watching with a really good friend of mine and I just ended up not being able to finish. We were surprised as to how there could be such a plain lack of chemistry and we wondered if we were constantly blinded by our love of Min ah cause the role was terrible. Dropped it around episode 6
Jealousy Incarnate -: tbh I was just salty cause of how the triangle was handled. It seemed so unnecessary to have things done the way it was and I never understood what she say in Jon Suk's character.
Suspicious Partner : I finished after quite the fight,... It felt very disjointed as a drama.. I fell behind one week and didn't feel the need to get caught up right away when I decided to get caught up I skipped 90% of the scenes. I ended up giving it 8 stars because it was the last time we were seeing Ji Chang Wook before he enlisted and the cast was pretty.
Tae-kyoo (fake lee min-ho) needs to go. I want his dick to get chopped off and stuffed up his rear end. Gap-soo should have someone cut a bit of his every day and bleed him out slowly. I cannot stand men who are so aggressive and disrespectful towards women.
What I really enjoy about this drama is them showing that sexual assault and sexual violence crimes are all about power. Look how bold fake lee min-ho was with his friend because he had less money than him and the women but couldn't stand up to uncle dearest.. piece of shit. ooo my blood is boiling.
Side Note: I love Ma Yi-Deum. Such a great character. Ryeo-won is doing the damn thing.

She did it because she wanted to cause an uproar and not have the public blindly trust Gap-soo and elect him. It was a very calculated move actually. It just ended up backfiring on her because they got most of the reporters to bury the story and her nudes leaked instead.
I guess after next week I'm gonna have to start a different wed/thurs drama huh? This one was really a surprising gift!! I'm just not ready to say goodbye!!

Mmmm this drama is kinda over the top, cliched and very frustrating.. If I didn't love the mains as much I do, I probably wouldn't keep watching.. I might end up just binging it at the end since there are more interesting things that I can keep up with..

I have to agree with you, Shir. Personally, I was really surprised by how much I'm enjoying Minhyuk's portrayal of Dr. Kwak especially considering that I literally had no idea he was even an idol.. I think he's very expressive and there were scenes were I was genuinely moved by his acting which doesn't happen often. I wasn't really into Doctors as it took me a while to even finish and Dr. Kim I tried but couldn't finish as I seemed to be unable to connect with the characters. Hospital Ship isn't trying to be either of the afore mentioned drama. Hospital Ship is a really good drama in its own special way. :)
After the first two episodes, let me say that I have high hopes for this drama. I imagine it'll be like L&O:SVU. It's well acted, humorous yet you can tell they'll be many tense moments and the chemistry between the leads is palpable.
This was such a good Chuseok episode. It really captured the spirit of thanksgiving. I enjoyed seeing Director Kim telling Jaegeol to stop blaming himself about his brother's death. I thought that was such a nice moment. I also enjoyed the moment between Hyun and his father (it had me thinking about how much his mom and sister really don't care, like its thanksgiving!)
Of course I was like very emotional at the fact that everyone showed up to with food and they had their thanksgiving celebrations together like a second family! (I literally cracked up at Mina doing her group's song especially since I basically found out like two weeks ago that it was her in the drama.) And like gaaaah when Hyun took their family photo! ^.^
So.... umm anyways I really like this show and I have officially claimed Dr. Kwak as my another drama boyfriend (this is a great honor btw I don't do this often even if I do like the actor playing the lead)
Sixteen more episodes to go! Which is really just four more weeks. Not sure what they have in store but I have faith that'll be as enjoyable as before, I have a theory of what I think the writers will pull but I'll stay mum for now.
