I agree! In fact the story being cliche makes this drama stand out even more because it is easy to see how well this trope was used in this drama. I think it all comes down to how this tropes were used and portrayed and Love is Sweet definitely nailed it!
Okay, Guys what's the Verdict? Is it worth watching?I don't know but when I see the ep number I get an idea of…
Well at the current episode 12, I could say that the story flow is great. Not so fast nor too slow. There is a development in their relationship that keeps on building and might explode soon. Their chemistry is phenomenal. You can watch the available episodes and decide if its your cup of tea.
I just finished all 12 episodes and I want to rewatch it already while waiting for the next episodes. It indeed has some cliche plots here and there but it was used so nicely that it flowed well with the plot. In fact that childhood friends trope is the plot line that made it very enjoyable for me. Those flashbacks is very well placed, like it showed different side of the story from different perspective.
This drama lives up to its title "Love is Sweet". All 12 episodes really is tooth rotting sweet and I hope they get together soon. It's not perfect but it is by far the most engaging, funny, enjoyable and very romantic rom-com I have watched this year. 10/10 for me
