Episode 7 just affirmed that Na is not only best boy, but also THE choice for Chon. Seriously, why make Na an even more sympathetic character this late in the game if they're not ultimately going to go in that direction?
I'm starting to dislike Ai and Nhai for pushing the Ton narrative now, and I don't think that's their intended effect. Chon's friends should want what's best for him, not force a situation with this faux jealously angle.
One step forward, two steps back for Ton. He's just rude af, even if he's tamed his homophobia down.
This was really cute by the end. I get it was repetitive for a majority of the series with the lack of communication, but I feel they did a decent job with Sine showing his struggle with himself and depression in the last episode to show why it went that way. The actors were adorable and the acting itself was good, it just needed a tightened up script. For some reason "best boy" as their term of endearment melts me.. especially the last one :)
A duck? Murdered by a duck? Really?? This was a mess. Niko was good, Mark was okay, but the writing was atrocious. Not much else to say about this, but quack quack I guess.
Episode 3: WTAF was that? I've watched the prior series and been rightfully critical of the story, but this was so out of left field I don't really have a proper thought to convey what I feel about it.
Niko portrayed unhinged pretty well, but I just don't see how this 180 fits with the story. For a moment I thought I accidentally put on an episode of Cheat. There was nothing to suggest this was where it was headed.
One episode left and seeing as JACE has officially shut down, I doubt there will be any meaningful conclusion to this nonsense. Hopefully Niko moves on to bigger and better things
Four episodes into this and Podd's good looks can't make up for Ton's personality. Serious turn off. Not something I expected going in, but it is what it is.
I find the show funny and enjoy it for what it is, but I'm not rooting for the titular pairing. Even though Na is a spoiled little weirdo, he at least comes off sincere in liking Chon. NaChon would be more satisfying, even though ultimately we all know it's not going to happen.
This series is improving, but it's pretty clear that the problem lies in the editing more so than anything else. I think Aki's character suffers the most from this. I don't know about the bts process with this one, but had a few key scenes been switched between episodes his character development would make a whole lot more sense.
Other than that, I don't think the acting is as bad as most seem to think. The scripted dialogue leaves much to be desired, but that's not on the actors. Miko & Aki have good chemistry on and off screen, so I'm sure that the show will get better as time passes. Lets hope the same for the technical side of things.
Episode 5: I feel like they should've made it clear this was directly related to Truly Very Yours from the get go. Other than the character names, nothing about the story implied that, especially Mark's needing to come to terms with his sexuality considering apparently he has had David and Kevin as boyfriends before Henry. This episode was not good, the acting was not up to par and some of the written dialogue just seemed completely out of place. I'm not really sure why Henry was made out to be in the wrong, when clearly by intertwining the two series, Mark has a history of talking to one guy while pining for another. Kevin and Henry deserve better.. I just hope that the rumored third series with Revil isn't Mark yet again flip flopping to someone else. I'll finish the series, but I hope it reverts back to the endearing energy from previous episodes.
