This sounds a lot as if the writers of this series totally twisted and turned history, again, to produce a heartwrenching…
Or it could be that the redemption is at the end, and he realizes her true worth and love for him in the end. So it is like a slow burn type of love. Because there's a scene in the trailer where he embraced her but they were much older. He will also knew at some point that the empress let go of Huan Er because she fell in love with his eunuch, drawing comparison to his daughter and her eunuch and his dilemma.
I'll stop watching till the lady dancer is out of the scene, and will follow the spoilers here if it's worth to go back and watch. And if there's any romantic possibility between the emperor and the empress.
i know this story is more about emperor renzhong, not heroine empress cao. i haven't read the novel, but a friend…
Actually just like most of you here, I'm thinking to drop the drama. I thought it would be a nice romance between Wang Kai and Jiang Shuying as the pairing is lovely. But didn't realise it would be a tragic love affair/ might not even have any romance at all. I dislike the lady dancer and skipped all her scenes. I thought she won't play a big part but seems from the posting here she will be, then I'm really not inclined to watch further. And in the character list seems there's another Lady that has yet to appear. Too bad, have been looking forward to this drama.
And yes, I was heartbroken too with Goodbye My Princess,... King's Woman and Novoland: Eagle Flag. :(
its ep 19. And I'm dropping it...... Everything was alright except whenever the FL appears...... Her role was…
Hang on for a while, by episode 20 the Princess will come out and will play a significant role in Asule's life. I was just casually watching and had started wanting to see Lareina and Hao Ran but got hooked when she came out. See if you like the story then. A lot of subplots will still unravel.
ikr, as you watch Ausle puppy face in epi 50 when he spoke of the person he liked and going back to see her, you…
I think those scenes - thinking of each other and Asule saying once matters in grasslands are finished he will go back to Tong Lu to see her give hope that they will reunite in the end. A lot of Chinese fans are also hoping they will have a happy ending. And Asule did say no matter the mountains and seas separating them he will still find her. Even if there is no happy ending, we can take comfort that they might still see each other someday.
I do agree with you that Liu Hao Ran's performance is confusing - he seems to have the same expression throughout,…
I find her pretty and elegant though... and it's nice to see their love for each other slowly grows. And Asule is able to express his inner feelings with her and be calm beside her. Whereas with Yu Ran, I think it is just a crush as part of growing up, and having fun with her. With Suma, it is more of a childhood friend and liking. To me, this all signify the stages of love as part of maturing which Asule has gone through.
