It's nice but overrated, skimmed and skipped a lot of scenes so i could finish it. Same vibes but better; go watch "Our blues" and "When life gives you tangerine" i guess
I know she is desperate for love because of her trauma, but her clinging to ml and constant embarrassment and humiliation is so pathetic. I can't belive anyone sane can think those kinds of scenes are cute. I should have waited for more opinions before starting.
In recent years, the tone in some popular shows and films has shifted from subtle criticism of religion to open mockery or inversion of moral symbols, portraying faith as oppressive and the devil, rebellion, or moral chaos as freedom or truth. That’s not neutral storytelling anymore; it’s a clear attempt to redefine moral values, often targeting younger audiences who are still shaping their worldview. This is troubling because it creates a false moral reversal: evil becomes "cool" or liberating, while goodness and faith are mocked as naïve or dangerous. Even if creators claim it’s artistic freedom, the repetition of these messages forms a pattern that influences minds and normalizes disrespect toward religious belief. It’s one thing to explore ideas in art; it’s another to push an agenda that ridicules or demonizes the deeply held values of billions. So people have every right to say this offends me, and it’s not okay to dismiss what others feel or degrade what they hold sacred. Some defend this trend by saying that it’s "just fiction," but stories are never just entertainment, they influence values, shape perceptions, and define what future generations see as normal. So please everyone, be mindful of what you're consuming in media.
The show is offensive to islam overall, but that's nothing new. Netflix mocks Christianity all the time, bc they are anti-religious and trying to impose their beliefs on everyone. sometimes subtly by showing the religious guy in the story as rigid or a psychopath for example, but lately they are being too loud in imposing this idea that the devil is the good guy.
I realy tried! I was awed by the male lead in his last drama, so i pushed on, but nothing is doing it for me. The story is stagnant, the chemistry is lacking, and the awesomeness of CHW is nowhere to be found... what a waste! Dropping.
If Park Hyung-sik stays away from romcoms and keeps doing dramas like this and Happiness instead, I will be very…
How dare you!? He is never cringy, even when silly, he is super cute 😉 He is very good in choosing his dramas, even when choosing RomComs. You can tell he is always trying to do different genres.
Apart from the political scene, i believe episode 11 and 12 were so terrible that my rating went from 7 to 4. And so the rating of many many others. So the rating was going down anyway.
I can criticize it all day.. the plot holes, the customs, the inconsistencies; even the actors performances, at…
Loved that show, it was suspenseful, raw and so human! Waited for it for two years and it didn't disappoint. But really, i don't mind flawed over the top shows either. I may not enjoy (or rate) them as much as a good plot, but they are kinda entertaining sometimes (Military Prosecutor Doberman comes to mind)! But i really find this show offensive to its audience in its nonsense (Bael is a spider for God's sake... lol. I like the actor and felt bad for him). It's like, hey guys i will give you garbage and you will love it. The worst part, they actually did love it!
True ... i did lost interest , felt like i m watching some disney show written by 13 year old girl. Couldn't take…
Exactly! Oh my God, did you see when everyone and their mother were congratulating her for the death sentence.. I cringed so hard. I believed there is a limit to the utter nonsense a screenwriter can put on paper, but obviously not.
This drama makes for a good one-time watch. It works well, and Park Shin Ye delivers an exceptional performance,…
I can criticize it all day.. the plot holes, the customs, the inconsistencies; even the actors performances, at some point i just couldn't take them seriously.
And the raving comments below, ladies and gentlemen, is why i no longer depend on dramalist to choose my dramas. One of the most lame and ridiculous shows i watched in a while. A wast of my time!
