So far it's "OK" not "WOW" as the original Cdrama, but still a good watch. I don't want to compare, but expectations are so high, yet it seems like the script writer focused more in making it different than the original more than make it more crisp.
It could've been much better if it was just 10-12 episodes max. Too many flashbacks, the plot has no shocking or surprises at all, everything is so predictable. The students have more screen presence than the adults!
Disturbingly good?!!!!!!!!!! OK, i've no description for it, it's quite interesting, and the ML was written in a very multi layered complicated way, but the whole thing is so disturbing sends shivers into your spine as you watch it. Ep 20 was too much to watch.
1- She is supposed to be a tomboy who wanted to be a general.....etc.2- Bad acting. Sorry but the actress's portrayal…
You know, i just want to understand the reason behind choosing her for such a complicated role in a big budget drama with all those big names and amazing actors. Nothing in her previous works show any signs of good acting or special skills to carry such role. Someone here commented about her that even her servant has a better screen presence! I think we have to wait for part 2 and hope for an improvement.
Why is the queen walking like a 21st century thug???
1- She is supposed to be a tomboy who wanted to be a general.....etc. 2- Bad acting. Sorry but the actress's portrayal of that multi layered character is so shallow.
Action and war sequences are just WOW, custom design is super fancy. Acting is so good, every scene is an amazing scene, except from the FL 🙄 Sorry, but she is not good enough for such a strong vibrant and multi layered role.
An old man who was recently stabbed in his chest and side many times can run, fight, take down a young, trained assassin whose injury is not as bad as him!!!!!! At least put some sense on the action scenes. On the whole it's a star stud short series, all the actors are known for their intangible performances, yet the whole series fell short when it comes to writing, it's a bit repetitive. For me Mr. Smile was a saving grace.
So Tong Hua isn't even real...? 🥹 I really liked her character tho... :(
The Fl said by the end that not all the characters written in her novel are real, but some are. She also said something that this is her real story with him that was inspired by their life events and love, so the way they have met is probably true, hence Tong Hu is real. There was a phone call at episode one with a female voice that sounded like hers.
The premises is good, if it's a 4-6 episodes drama without any overloading of society issues talks here and there. 16 episodes means it's gonna be a drag.
Oh! just checked their pages, she is 46 and he is 42. She is not too old to act as a 40 years old woman, but there is something about her facial expression and reactions that's so stiff and gives the impression of an older lady. Anyway, i'm watching it for RAIN.
The drama basically starts at episode 7. The previous episodes are so pointless that they can be summed up to 1 episode max!!!!!! Other than that it's a cute watch.
I think we have to wait for part 2 and hope for an improvement.
