Yup. Those original Kdramas on Netflix were just the beginning :) I also have to give excuses (explain) to my family just why I spend so much of my time watching dramas.. at least my husband also thought I was originally watching telenovelas :P He has watched a few with me! Everyone else thinks I'm nuts though, hehe.
Honestly I'm still trying to deal with how short regular-length movies are, compared to dramas. And somehow I never feel like watching a 2 hour movie, but I'll sit down and watch 5 hour-long drama episodes in a row.. weird. I kind of like the looks of Shinigami no Seigo though.. might give that a try later this week.
Oh my goodness. This was an awesome article! Lie to Me was my first drama too, and I don't know what compelled…
I almost quit watching at the bee scene too.. I think I was too comatosed to pick up the TV remote, or I would never be here still talking about Kdrama. :P

I actually like that little blurb. Quite sufficient and to the point. :) Thanks

But yes, I'd love to write more in the future. :)

Yes, well I'd like to think those people have had longer than a year of drama-watching. I'm also insanely jealous, and scared.. because most of them have watched everything already, and can only look forward to currently airing and future dramas.. I kind of like knowing I still have so many classics to get through.

Haha. Thanks. Writing it really helped me relieve some of that creative steam, without resorting to the creation of my own blog. It positively scares me how much time I already devote to watching dramas and reading others' blogs. If I had had my own blog.. I'd probably never even sleep. :)
Also, I'm glad I got out of the redundancy of K-dramas early on. I watched and loved about 13 K-dramas, but I…
Joe.. I know what you mean. Just because I love and adore Kdramas, doesn't mean I also don't get frustrated by their lack of realism or originality. And I'm also finding Jdrmas fun and unique, and about as addicting - but kdramas will always be my first love :)

And btw, I would recommend Nobuta wo Produce off your PTW list.. it was my intro to Jdrama, and stupendously awesome!

Have you not seen Winter Sonata though?? Of all the Endless Love series (keep in mind, I'm still missing Spring Waltz) it was my favorite.. yes they all drag. Dosn't mean I didn't love how they all start out.

Hah! So that's why you recommend Que Sera, Sera - first on your favorites list, I see. :) I'm always frustrated when I see people haven't watched something I think was the best ever, lol. I can't believe your first drama was Summer Scent.. that one was rough!

Oohh, I like the looks of this list... And don't worry, it's not too overwhelming. I enjoy the challenge! Thanks!

Hah. Ok I just read your review of Goong - but I have to agree that it's completely over-rated. The only thing I really liked about it was how upfront it was with the disclaimer at the very beginning, "why are we doing a fantasy/fictional tale about a modern day royal family? Because we want to...!"

Hi there. Love your review of Me Too, Flower - I think you must be right about it having more indepth characters than most Kdramas. Is he the only 'rich main lead guy' who isn't spoiled, a total jerk, or became rich without daddy's chaebol company? Such a nice change to see in the Kdrama world :)

Thanks! Well, but you're certainly not helping me shorten my "Plan to watch" list, though I'm happy for recommendations on the Japanese dramas. I watched Nobuta wo Produce on a random whim just a couple weeks ago, and couldn't even believe how awesome it was. How did I get so far without realizing its existence??

Haha, I like your review of You're Beautiful. I also just wanted to fix Jeremy's hair. For that matter, I kind of wanted to fix all the guys' hair, that or clip off all those little pony tails from the middle of their foreheads. :)
