I agree with your review. I watched this drama because I needed to see something historical but the plot was too cliche for me and there were many unnecessary twists (like Moo Yeong dying and never seeing his baby like I'm HURT) that could have been avoided to make it a greater drama. Overall the main relationship was lovely but there were also other relationships that they could have explored (Ae weol and Jung Jae Yoon they had so much chemistry and it wasn't explored).
I also felt like the ending was SUPER rushed but the development was slow?? It sounds weird but let me explain. They went over and over about the fact that he had no memories but it all got resolved in like 3 episodes??? like what??? and him and his father had a perfect relationship at the end out of the blue. Then the king and queen were all fine it just didn't make sense they had so much tension and struggles because of the position of the Crown Prince.
