Title Rebirth Spoiler
If you haven't watched Princess Agent yet and want to watch this series straight away, here's a summary of the story, sorry, this is full of spoilers for Princess Agent:

1. Chapter One: Training and Identity (Eps 1 - 20)
Introduction: Chu Qiao (living as a slave named Jing Xiao Liu) is the sole survivor of a "human hunting" game played by cruel aristocrats. She is indirectly saved by Yan Xun and brought into the household of Yuwen Yue(zhuge Yue).

Spy Training: Yuwen Yue (Zhuge Yue )recognizes Chu Qiao’s extraordinary combat talent. He trains her brutally to become an elite spy (Bedwarmer Spy). During this time, Yuwen Yue(Zhuge Yue) begins to fall in love with her, but he maintains a cold exterior to toughen her mental resolve.

Death of Siblings: Chu Qiao’s adoptive siblings (fellow slaves) are slaughtered by the evil Yuwen family, specifically by Yuwen Huai. This plants the seeds of hatred in Chu Qiao toward the Yuwen clan, including Yuwen Yue.

Minor Villains’ Demise: Chu Qiao’s adoptive brother, Lin Xi, dies due to a trap. Chu Qiao begins her revenge, systematically eliminating the cruel senior servants.

2. Chapter Two: The Tragedy of the Yan Family (Eps 21 - 30)
The Conspiracy: The paranoid Emperor orders the massacre of the Yan family in Yanbei. Yan Xun, who is celebrating his birthday in the capital, suddenly becomes a wanted fugitive.

Jiuyou Platform (Iconic Moment): Yan Xun is brought to the execution stage. Before his eyes, he sees the severed heads of his father and brothers. He rages in agony but is brutally beaten down.

A Mother’s Sacrifice: Yan Xun’s mother, Bai Sheng, appears and sacrifices her own life in front of the Emperor to beg for mercy for Yan Xun, the last survivor of their bloodline.

3-Year Imprisonment: Yan Xun and Chu Qiao are confined in the Ying Ge Pavilion. Chu Qiao becomes a total protector for the mentally shattered Yan Xun. They rely on each other to survive nightly assassination attempts orchestrated by Yuwen Huai.

3. Chapter Three: Awakening & Revenge (Eps 31 - 45)
The Escape: Their imprisonment ends. Yan Xun pretends to submit and agrees to marry Princess Yuan Chun as a tactic to escape back to Yanbei.

Bloody Rebellion: On the wedding day, Yan Xun launches a massive rebellion in the capital. He abandons Yuan Chun at the altar and slaughters the imperial forces.

Yuan Chun’s Tragedy: The pitiful Princess Yuan Chun tries to chase Yan Xun to the border, but she is instead raped by Yanbei soldiers who hold a grudge against the Empire. This transforms her into a villain consumed by hatred for Chu Qiao (whom she blames for stealing Yan Xun).

Yan Xun’s Transformation: Yan Xun arrives in Yanbei, but he is no longer the cheerful man he once was. He becomes a cold, bloodthirsty military leader.

4. Chapter Four: Ideological Conflict (Eps 46 - 55)
Chu Qiao vs. Yan Xun: Chu Qiao wants to abolish slavery and bring peace, but Yan Xun only seeks the total destruction of the Wei Empire. Yan Xun begins massacring his own disloyal subordinates and using "dirty" tactics that disgust Chu Qiao.

The Return of Yuwen Yue (Zhuge Yue ): Yuwen Yue(Zhuge Yue ) reappears as a General. He repeatedly saves Chu Qiao from deadly situations in secret. Chu Qiao begins to realize that Yuwen Yue has been the most sincere person in her life all along, not Yan Xun.

Villains’ Demise:

Yuwen Huai: Dies a gruesome death, beheaded by Chu Qiao during an invasion.

Wei Shuye: Dies while trying to protect Princess Yuan Chun.

5. Final Chapter: The Frozen Lake (Eps 56 - 58)
The Deadly Trap: Jealous of the bond between Chu Qiao and Yuwen Yue, Yan Xun uses Chu Qiao as bait (sending a fake letter) to lure Yuwen Yue alone to a frozen lake.

Battle on the Ice: Knowing it is a trap, Yuwen Yue goes anyway for Chu Qiao’s safety. He is surrounded by thousands of Yan Xun’s soldiers and shot multiple times with arrows.

The Dramatic Moment: Chu Qiao arrives and finds Yuwen Yue dying. She cries and kisses his forehead, finally admitting her love. However, the ice breaks and Yuwen Yue ( Zhuge Yue ) sinks into the water.

The Ending: Chu Qiao jumps into the freezing water to save him. Under the water, Yuwen Yue pushes Chu Qiao back to the surface so she can live. Due to the extreme cold and intense emotions, the Spider Lily mark on Chu Qiao’s shoulder glows brightly—her "Ice Formula" internal power fully awakens.

SUMMARY OF CENTRAL CHARACTER DEATHS:
The Yan Family (Father & Brothers): Beheaded due to framed treason.

Bai Sheng (Yan Xun’s Mother): Commits suicide to save Yan Xun.

Yuwen Huai (Main Villain): Beheaded by Chu Qiao.

You will be able to follow. They do the flashbacks pretty well to show their past relationship.
Okay, thanks. Since I haven’t started watching either of them yet, I think I’ll watch Princess Agent first because I’m curious about ML—it seems to have a different name 😊

If we haven’t watched Princess Agent yet and are starting with this series, will we be able to follow the backstory right away? Or is it better to watch Princess Agent first?

I don't exactly get you! But ML and FL are from the same world/universe! They both are transmigrated to a different…
Because my interpretation is that the three of them are three modern characters who have transmigrated into the world of the novel, because their code is a greeting message using English as a sign of modern people who have transmigrated into the world of the novel. Yeah, I don't really know if SFL is also a 2D character, but they are characters from a novel set in modern times.

Yeah, according to my interpretation, ML and FL know that Xie Yong Er is a character who also transmigrated from the modern world to the world of this novel, which is why they asked for a greeting in English as a code that this person is a modern person who transmigrated to the world of this novel. Yeah , I'm not sure if SFL is a modern person who is a 2D comic character, because SFL often mentions that those characters are 2D characters, but maybe you're right, my interpretation is wrong.

Watch again the episode where Yu Wan Yin talks to Xie Yong Er, where Xie Yong Er doesn't know the city of Beijing and when Xie Yong Er mentions her hometown, Yu Wan Yin realizes that it is a city she has never heard of even though both of them come from modern China. Is it wrong to say that they come from different universes?
On How Dare You!? Feb 16, 2026
An “isekai” themed series with a Multiverse concept ☺, both set in modern China but in different universes. Are FL and ML also in different universes? ☺

One of the strengths of this series is that all of the characters are given memorable moments. The series does not only focus on the world of ML and FL, but the characters also have their own interesting stories. The director successfully conveys the message of each character in the series to the audience. Even Emperor of Jinxiu, a tyrannical and cruel emperor, made me empathize with him in the end.

That was not a romance scene it was kinda like despair like she thought she died in other dramas if a significant…
I didn't mind when he yan thought xiao jue died, but the scene after that, after the wutou commander died, the war still continued, why should there be a “romantic” scene should be later after the war is over, but actually I'm not antipathetic to romantic scenes, and I like the chemistry of these two main roles.
On Legend of the Female General Aug 18, 2025
Fighting/war scenes are cool, but don't force romantic scenes into war scenes, they are both experienced generals on the battlefield, why are they given scenes where they both become careless and not in a state of alert and focus, if it's a war scene, romance is secondary, war is number one. Why do I say there is a scene that is too forced because when it is still a war, how can two experienced generals not be in alert focus? They should have included the romantic scenes after they knew they had won the war and the war had just ended.

She dubbed herself. Coz she majored Broadcasting and Hosting (not Acting), she's good at changing her voice.
Oh I see, yeah if that's his real voice, yeah she's got voice over talent, cool, but because I've fallen in love with his voice before 🙂
On Moonlit Reunion Aug 18, 2025
How come here Tian Xi Wei, doesn't use her original voice, I just watched ep 1, but I heard not her original voice, I know Tian Xi Wei, one of the artists rarely dubbed, will the next episode use her original voice?
