After watching 8 episodes, I feel bored watching this series because the conflict development is less varied, the conflict is only limited to the silly and witty feud between Song Zhu and Xiao Yu, I know this is only the beginning of the story but it's already 8 episodes so this is too long and long-winded if the conflict is focused on the silly and witty feud of ML and FL. And also I know this is a series with light stories and comedy and I also don't mind that the conflict is simple like the series Romance on the Farm, the conflict in ROTF is also simple (only family conflicts) but varied in ROTF so that I don't get bored watching it, ROTF is also a light series and comedy and there are also many silly scenes like in Special Lady, but the conflict development in ROTF is better.The series indirectly reveals Xiao Yu's hidden intentions to enter the Song family academy but it is less well executed because it has not focused on showing Xiao Yu's hidden intentions in the series, if the series presented many scenes of conflict of interest between Xiao Yu and Song Zhu where many witty and silly scenes when Xiao Yu wants to investigate the Song family academy (shown clearly to the audience) and at the same time Song Zhu tries to thwart her engagement makes it more enjoyable to watch but it has not been shown like that until the eighth episode. It looks like I might delay watching this series or even not continue watching this series, because the first impression of the storyline of a series is very decisive for me to continue watching or not, my first impression of this series is not good, and I think the rate of this series on MDL (7.4) is suitable. Maybe some people can still enjoy this series, yeah tastes can be different.
