Slow, depressing, toxic & boring. Dear Hyeri

The pacing of this movie was so slow. Initially it showed clips of the leads early life together where she the FL, (Shin Hye Sun) was happy and playful and the ML, (Lee Jin Wook) henceforth to be known as Jerk Face, was brooding, cold and frankly cruel towards her. It wasn't fun to watch - No, -correction-, the times she was Ju Hye Ri was fun to watch.

The MLs actions of 'helping her in the background' and 'coming to her rescue' weren't enough for me to root for him. Ultimately sure, she loved him and he loved her back but theirs was a painful story to watch. there was no time during the show that I felt any kind of empathy for the ML; and not even the FL was especially likeable which is a shame because I like Shin Hye Sun a lot.

The main part of the show was a journey of self healing but they tried to sell a redeeming romance angle throughout but honestly, by the time they were rushing together towards the end I had already checked out of how their relationship, making the music and lighting jarring.
Note to the writers: you can't have a character be a jerk for ten episode then redeem him in the last couple. It's too late.

The jumping around was also a bit confusing for me.

Too bad for the 2ML. Only the second time I've had genuine 2nd male lead syndrome.
