On What's Wrong with Secretary Kim Sep 29, 2018
What a charming little show.

If you're looking for a light-hearted enjoyable show, this is it. The drama is kept to a minimum and the focus is mostly on the two main characters' relationship.

There's not much storytelling but rather just a step by step look at a man and his secretary and what happens when they fall in love. That's it. And that's why the show is so enjoyable.

The only negative I found was the convoluted subplot involving the two brothers, which felt unnecessary.

But overall, I recommend this if you're a fan of romantic comedies. This is both legit romantic and funny.

I just started watching this. I can't say that the show grabbed me after two episodes but I just finished Episode 3 and bam, I'm hooked.

That ending to episode 3 was that good. I hope the show continues to deliver that kind of drama.

Title Five Enough
I just finished watching this and I'm soooooo sad it's over. I absolutely loved it.

What's amazing is they had so much more material left that they could've easily extended the show for another 20+ episodes. The final episode was a little rushed because of that reason: they had so much good material left.

Nevertheless, Five Enough has become my favorite family drama (currently). It surpassed Father is Strange, which was my former favorite.

Great show. If you're a family drama addict like me, Five Enough is a must watch.

I loved this drama, can someone recommend me a similar one? Loved Yun Tae and Sung Min S2
If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend Father Is Strange.

I just finished watching and damn, that is one hell of a show. Loved it. Easily, my favorite family drama. So well done.

I've watched enough family dramas to know that Father Is Strange is the best of the bunch so far. New Tales of Gisaeng and Three Brothers are my other two favorites.
On My Father Is Strange Aug 12, 2018
I just started watching this. I'm currently on episode 7 and what I love about this show (in comparison to other family dramas) is how fleshed out the characters feel already.

I feel like I know these people just from a few scenes because the writer has done a good job developing the characters even within one single scene.

Before this, I watched Our Gab Soon and the difference in character development is startling.

Can't wait to watch the rest.

I finally finished the show. I can't say I loved the show, in fact, I found it very frustrating at times. But that ending was too adorable...so I at least felt the warm fuzzies at the end.

I just wish the show had some of those warm fuzzies in the first 60 episodes.

Would I recommend it? No. If you're looking for a family drama, give Three Brothers or New Tales of Gisaeng a chance. Both are much better.

I just started episode 55 and I really really want this show to end. The last 10 episodes or so feel so unnecessary.

The only thing keeping me tuned in is the Jae Soon/Geum Shik story because I want to see their happy ending. But everything else is filler.

So I'm up to episode 43 and I've come to the realization that the mothers are the biggest problem of the show. They're just horrible people.

Gab Soon's mother is the worst of the group. A wretched woman.

Title Our Gap Soon
I'm currently watching episode 16 and it's making my blood boil.

The biggest problem with this show is the lack of likable characters. There are maybe 1 or 2 who are sympathetic but they're total wimps and let everyone walk all over them.

I'm not dropping it because I'm hoping it gets better and Jae Soon stands up for herself.
On New Tales of Gisaeng Jul 30, 2018
Very good show...and quite addictive. 52 episodes flew by for me. I think it was because of the pacing, short scenes one after the other.

The only downside was the show turned a little bizarro in episodes 45-49. It all felt so unnecessary and totally ridiculous.

But nevertheless, good show.

What is the name of the Turkish version?
It's on Netflix and it's called What Happens to My Family? The Turkish title is Baba Candir.

I just finished the first two episodes and I am hooooooooked. Great show with some surprisingly funny moments.

I can't wait to watch the rest of the show.
On Cinderella and the Four Knights Jul 7, 2018
I'm glad I gave the show a chance. I almost didn't because of the bad reviews here. But then I realized that based on the 8 rating, there's a silent majority that liked it.

A really fun show with a lot more depth and substance than I expected. The writers took a silly premise and created a cute little show with lots of charm.
On The Heirs Jul 7, 2018
Title The Heirs
I just finished this and I wish I hadn't. I didn't hate it per se but I feel like it was a waste of time.

In a nutshell, Heirs is basically Korean producers creating an American-style show with Korean themes, that is heavily influenced by Gossip Girl. But they did a really poor job.

The storytelling is a mess. There is absolutely no structure. Everything about it is hollow. The characters just aimlessly roam from scene to scene.

It's also a sloppy and contrived mess. The storylines have no depth or cohesion. There's also a vagueness about everything that in the end, it all just feels pointless.

I just can't recommend it at all. Even for fans of guilty pleasures. I guess you can give it a chance if you have nothing else to watch but it's really just a waste of time.
On Three Brothers Jun 17, 2018
I just finished watching and I thought it was good. A little difficult to watch at times but overall very enjoyable. It's 70 eps but well worth it.

I can understand why it's called Three Brothers but I felt a better title would've been Woo Mi's Journey. You'll know what I mean when you watch.

It is relatively more realistic than many dramas I have watched.
Indeed. I should have been more specific. In comparison to other Korean shows, its characters and premise feel more real.
On Something in the Rain May 27, 2018
Just a piece of advice to anyone who's considering watching this, don't let the negative reviews deter you, watch it and judge for yourself.

It's a quality show. Everything about it is top notch. The writing and storytelling is nuanced and subtle so that's why some might not like it but in my opinion, this is quality television.

It's about real people with real problems and how it affects their life.

I'm watching this right now, just finished episode 11. OMG, this show is soooooo heartbreaking. Please tell me…
This show is giving me anxiety but I can't stop watching. Most despicable villains ever. I hope they get what they deserve!
