I don't get it. Why did they steal someone else's identity instead of just changing names?
They could not just change it because the cop-husband would have been able to access the records. And he would have been able to instantly find them. The mother even asks about it and the clerk tells her it is impossible to hide the new name - that's how she meets her new husband.
So, she only needs to look thin and ill for the first episode ... How does it make sense to lose that much weight for the role if the plot mostly plays 10 years in the past - way before the character becomes ill. Strange.
I do not have access to kakao, but I did read it. The original Red Cage from 2014 ends with him being fatally stabbed, and then his urn next to his mother's. Maybe the author rewrote/retconned the ending since he is now writing a sequel?
He does die in the webtoon. Not sure why you are claiming he does not. Everyone can read it online on tapas or for free on bato. The webtoon is called Red Cage or 모범택시.
Depends on what you consider the ML role. The villain or the guy the FL falls for and ends up with. If it is the latter than Na In Woo will be the ML. Lee Yi Kyung is playing the villain aka the former husband.
The FL in this story shares your views, which is why she does not plan to marry him again. She wants revenge against…
BIG SPOILERS
The FL works at the same office as her "husband" and her friend. And they used her even before the wedding. The friend is in some way even worse than the husband, as she has been alienating the FL from everyone while pretending to be the only one on her side since high school. So the FL manages to make the friend want to steal him and marry him herself. Which not only comes with a cheating hubby, (who now wants the FL to become his mistress) but also a monster-in-law (that made FL's life hell because she thought she was at fault for not getting pregnant - not knowing her son is infertile). Later, the friend kills the mother-in-law and ends up in prison. The husband tries to kill the friend by sabotaging her car, but somehow ends up killing himself instead... So both get what they deserved.
The FL on the other hand gets a makeover, exposes her friends on a school reunion, gets rich by investing and snatches the way hotter and nicer team manager. She also becomes good friends with two coworkers.
genuine question, has the hong sisters ever written a drama with a happy ending? i need some hope 😣
The Hong sisters wrote 12 dramas before AoS (I count Aos part 1 and 2 as one drama). Out of those, only 3 had sad endings (Hotel Luna, A Korean Odyssey and Hong Gil Dong) and one drama had an infuriating ending (Big). So 2/3 had a happy end. I really want a happy ending, but I would take a sad ending over an ending like Big (that would be Jang Uk ending up with the real Bu Yeon after Naksu's soul disappears ...).
Answer: Master Heo discovered a method for stopping soul-shifter petrification. His grand-daughter (Heo Yoon Ok)…
The shaman only managed to trick her because the queen wanted the shaman to shift her soul with a younger and more beautiful woman. But the shaman shifted her own soul with the queen's instead. So IMO the queen already did go through with it for all intents and purposes.
The mother even asks about it and the clerk tells her it is impossible to hide the new name - that's how she meets her new husband.

In the manga the FL is smart enough not to marry the cheater who murders her in her first life.
