I believe Japanese fashion and beautiful is slightly better. - http://mydramalist.com/discussions/japanese-actors-actresses/27751-japanese-beautiful-actresses-and-singers-j-pop-and-j-drama
i'm half japanese so every year i spend some months in japan. I noticed that since a couple of year japanese girls, at least in big cities like tokyo or osaka tend to adopt korean beauty standards. i think korean fashion is better, but i'm deeply attached to japanese sense of beauty.
this article could have been better, it lacks information. those trends are globally what's on air in SK since 2009, now every year some new trends appear in the k-beauty world and it's overall a little bit more sophisticated.
This is very very close to the masterpiece. I recommand every woman (and guys too if you feel smart enough) to watch this I just came back from the movie theater I'm totally in love.
Cinematography amazing, the cast is awesome, and this is way too hot for traditional Korea, you guys will be shocked. as well the level of japanese language is perfect.
I'm happy that it's NOT a movie about japanese imperialism AGAIN, but a love story, that finally gives a voice to lgbt community.
I laughed so much at the first scene because she says "Switch On" and it's actually the name of a very famous shoujo manga that was pretty popular even outside Japan about a compleeeeeetely unrelated storyline that made this very first scene lose all its serious
Edit : I just finished it it was very very good but very inequal imo. some eps were awesome, some were a bit messy but overall worth 100%
A good drama. for me it's a bit too short tho, I prefer the usual 10/12 eps for detective J-dramas, because it allows more developement imo. I feel like they focused a lot around the killer's feelings but they could'nt make the main characters lovable. No huge surprises but well entertaining. just no unmissable.
I'm so happy with this article ! it's so complete and intelligent, I can see you worked.
Ok so from my point of view, Kdrama tend to enhance fantasies girls/women have about love, the plot twist, level of wealth, situations are unrealistic, but funny and higly satifiying.
J-drama is more like a very scripted comedy movie, the rythm is very important there, as for the video editing, and it tends to favor stories with normal people in very anormal situations. It tend as well to use of the "Boke Tsukkomu" coming point : having a very serious unrealistic genius for example, and a very normal assitant talking to him in a way to emphase his weirdness and make it funny for us. Or a very stupid one not noticing he's telling blsht, and a placid one noticing every wrong thing he's saying etc etc. the importance of the drama is more on a general warm, comic "group" comedy (or crime / mystery it works the same) and very less on romance.
Scarlet Heart Ryeo Episode Episode 18 Now watch It here in this Website http://tvtribute.net/index.php/2016/10/25/scarlet-heart-ryeo-episode-episode-18-english-sub-video-watch/
Literally my fav drama of the whole season with Jealousy incarnate, and one of my fav EVER.
Actually I was writting a currently watching too but could'nt make it in time lol.
There's so much to say, it's really human, really well written, I understand at the beginning it can be a bit difficult to catch it because of our trashy main-lead but I promess that all the rich storyline, funny moments and warm characters will drown you into it without you realizing it.
Nobody is simple here, nobody is a total bad person if you take the time to understand why they act like that, what hurt them, what they are hiding in shame.
There are so many WTF situations you will totally fall for. And I SWEAR like Jealousy Incarnate I care of ALL the plots equally. I wish they do more dramas like this.
Just warm and reliable, without unrealistic things, bad bitch*s and angry mums.
So for those who have the incredible chance and haven't started yet just go for it.
