Zhao Lusi is back!!
Le grand retour de Zhao Lusi est à la hauteur de toutes les attentes ! Love’s Ambition est exactement ce qu’elle promettait d’être : une série vibrante, portée par une Zhao Lusi au sommet de sa maturité artistique. Elle rayonne, elle habite chaque scène, et prouve une fois de plus qu’elle fait partie des grandes. C’est un vrai bonheur de la revoir en pleine forme après ce qu’elle a traversé l’an dernier.Le casting est particulièrement bien choisi. Chacun joue juste, chacun a sa place.
Shout-out to le jeune acteur qui est excellent et super émouvant
Et shout-out to Wang Pen too, j'ai beaucoup d'affection pour elle et j'ai toujours pensé qu'elle est plus à sa place et mieux en 2nd rôle qu'en actrice principale (cf. Will Love in Spring)
On sent une vraie cohérence, une alchimie naturelle entre les personnages. L’histoire est solide, bien ancrée dans son univers, et ce qui marque surtout, c’est la maturité des personnages. On suit une véritable évolution du ML et de la FL -
Visuellement, on commence par se demander si la pauvre ZLS va tenir tellement elle est frêle -- et vers l'épisode 14/15, on la retrouve progressivement jusqu'à la fin.
Certes, la série s’essouffle un peu vers la fin : on sent qu’elle devait atteindre les 32 épisodes alors qu’une version plus resserrée autour de 24 aurait probablement gagné en intensité.
+ La rédemption des parents de l’héroïne est un peu bâclée, tout comme la love story de sa sœur, (même si Wang Pen reste toujours aussi fraîche et lumineuse)
Malgré ces quelques faiblesses, Love’s Ambition se regarde avec un vrai plaisir du début à la fin. C’est une série chaleureuse, sincère, et surtout marquée par le grand retour d’une Zhao Lusi inspirée et rayonnante. On en ressort avec le sourire et l'envie de la revoir encore et encore :)

So disappointing... But with great chemistry!
I'll start by what really didn't work for me : like almost every one, the 2nd lead couple.Non seulement they had way too much screen time but en plus the setup of that deception is really so deep that there should've been no coming back (to be honest I skipped their scenes so I don't really know how he got her to forgive him)
Next, the poachers story doesn't feel organic and is just a way of adding useless scenes and episodes (with all due respect to the wonderful butterfly -worthy scenes of our leads there)
Now the main couple. To be honest, I was expecting something healthier there. The premises work ok for me : She is is funny and the way she's acting OTT is cute. And her bestie is all of us, TV Drama fan almost eating our pop corn on the front seat while a real life drama is unfolding before our eyes. I particularly love when TianTian tells Lv Jian that, as every 2nd ml before him, he's too late :D
Anyway, with the promising start and now being used to really healthy love settings (Forever Love, You are my Glory, Fly with you, Her Private Life...) I was hoping that the story wouldn't drag the "when will they..." For so long.
And ep. 28-30 (where I am right now) there are those useless lies she spouts for no reason. Not fan.
On the up side, I really dig every scene they share. I had vaguely met BinBin in Love O2O and even there is explosive... Sex appeal (🙈🙈) was not lost for me.
And it was my 1st encounter with Yu Shu Xin. And I really love some expressions she makes with her face. So now Love between Fairy and the Devil got on my list, to see more of her.
I'm sorry my review is a little all over the place, I couldn't seem to organize my mind...
The next one will be more structured.

La série qui a rampé pour laisser voler tout un genre
J'avoue, avec le recul, que cette série n'est pas parfaite. Elle a ses défauts et avec les années je les reconnais.Le 10 inconditionnel c'est pour ce qu'elle a représenté quand elle est sortie, une série comme toutes les autres mais avec sa différence et sa fraîcheur qui a renouvellé le genre des Cdramas high school/college/work.
Je dis souvent que cette série a rampé pour que Our Story ou When I fly Towards You puissent voler.
Rien que pour ça, et sans aucune objectivité, j'aimerais qu'elle reste à un score excellent.

Just... Non
I really tried, but Love Formula just didn’t work for me. The female lead is starting to look too old to play a college student, and her acting isn’t strong enough to make up for it. She’s not engaging, and the age gap with the male lead is way too noticeable // it’s distracting and made it hard to get into the story.On top of that, the show is packed with overused tropes and clichés. After skipping through several parts and struggling my way to episode 5, I’m calling it quits. I’ve already lost enough bits of my life watching this.
