If you really understand the story, her breaking up with him is on point. It was natural. Being abandoned, unlove and uncared for 15 years of course you will have a trauma and distrust people but Ling Buyi still chose to jump on the cliff and abandoned her. She even choose to die with Ling Buyi just not to get abandoned. She was very okay being alone but Ling Buyi made her love him, dependent to him and understand him but Ling Buyi didn't understand her that she doesn't want to be left alone after learning to love him and trust him. And he lied to her till the last moment that he is Huo Wushang. He was too focused of his revenge.
Who save Ling Buyi from cliff? isn't it her? so we where did you get the "she did not support him when everything went down with the revenge for his clan"? She is not sure he was Huo Wushang she have guessed it but not till after Ling Buyi killed Ling Yi and admitted it. She told him before that she want to be with him when he will catch Peng Kun but she cant because the empress is sick and she have to take care of her. She even told him that she supports all his revenge so I don't understand your point. 😅
And mind you before accepting Ling Buyi's proposal, she CLEARLY told him that she is stubborn and will not change but he still accept her. So what's your point on being selfish? Yes. The FL here is a street smart. She may have a child voice or a bit of childish moment because her character is 15 y/o only. There is a character development here.
