My baby Xi Wei is finally getting the recognition she truly deserves! 🥹
From the moment I saw the trailer, I was already hooked. I waited months for this drama and even held off watching until it was completed—because I cannot deal with waiting for episodes 😅
✨ What made this drama stand out? ⭐️ The chemistry between Zhang Ling He and Tian Xi Wei is INSANE—like, next level. You can feel everything without them even saying it: the eye contact, the subtle glances, the small touches, the bickering, the jealousy… even the silence speaks LOVE 😭
They didn’t just act—they became Yan Zheng and Fan Chang Yu 😍😍😍
⭐️ Characters & Performance: Xie Zheng is especially unforgettable—a cold-blooded general who is ruthless toward his enemies, a strict and law-abiding leader to his subordinates, yet a devoted and loving husband to Fan Chang Yu.
Fan Chang Yu is strong, fearless, lovable, and perfectly portrayed by Tian Xi Wei.
Everything just fits perfectly.
The story is great, and the twists are even better. The fight scenes are superb, and there are no dull moments. I just wish we got more of Xie Zheng and Fan Chang Yu’s story rather than the focus on Qi Min’s obsession with Yu Qian Qian. I also wanted more scenes of the Royal Princess and Gongsun—they were so cute! Still, I’m rating this 10/10 without hesitation. It’s a romantic comedy with superb fight scenes and a happy ending.
This drama is officially added to my rewatch list and sits on the same top-tier level as Love Like the Galaxy and Prisoner of Beauty 💯
🎥 If you want to see Zhang Ling He & Tian Xi Wei together off-screen, watch them on Hello Saturday while promoting the drama 😍
💬 If you love slow-burn romance, powerful chemistry, and strong characters with a happy ending, THIS IS A MUST-WATCH!
⚠️ Warning! Brace yourself! Zhang Ling He is freaking handsome here. In my opinion, he looks the most handsome in this drama compared to his other dramas 😍🔥
As a fan of Tian Xiwei, I was really excited for this drama. Like always, she delivered—her performance was charming, lively, and full of personality. But honestly, even with great actors and strong characters, the story itself felt a bit lacking at times.
What fell short for me: There are some episodes that feel dragging. The plot didn’t fully deliver on its potential. The ending was a bit confusing and felt rushed… I honestly expected more clarity and impact.
The fight scenes are okay! The CGI is great, and the chemistry between them is overwhelming! I really hope they get another drama together with a better story. 😍
Xu Kai’s handsomeness is on another level here—this might be the most handsome character he has played for me. And Tian Xiwei is so cute 😍 I think this is one of her best characters—the Cat Lord. 🐱
Overall, Moonlit Reunion is a decent watch with amazing chemistry and strong characters with a happy ending.. I would LOVE to see Xu Kai and Tian Xiwei reunite in another drama with a stronger storyline. Their pairing deserves something even better! 🥹✨
Bonus: I got a new crush on Wu Jun Ting—he’s so cute!! 😍😍😍
If you want to see Tian Xiwei and Xu Kai on a variety/game show, you can watch Hello Saturday. They were promoting their drama there, and they were so sweet and cute! 🥰
Normally, before I make my own review and feedback after finishing a drama, I read some reviews first to see if I’m on the same page as other viewers. But when I checked the reviews for this drama, a lot of people were disappointed. Some even rated it 4 or 5/10. Maybe it’s because I didn’t read the novel, so I’m not sure if the adaptation gave justice to the original story.
The drama itself is good. The story isn’t that deep — it’s easy to follow. There isn’t much power struggle, but there are twist after twist after twist. 😆
For me, this drama deserves an 8.5/10. It’s okay overall — the chemistry between the ML and FL was good, and the fighting scenes were superb. The second leads were just so-so. Honestly, without the amazing action scenes, this drama would feel flat.
But I love that it shows: even if you’re a woman, if you have the dedication to pursue what you want, you can achieve it — even if it goes against the norms of your generation or the law. Laws and traditions can change as long as you stand for what’s right and just. Gender doesn’t matter.
Ohhh maaannn… What a drama… like hell yeah! This should be the standard for enemy-to-lovers dramas. You really feel the hate and distrust Wei Shao has for Xiao Qiao at first. Yes, she’s a beauty — okay! — but the hatred Lord Wei has toward the Qiao Clan doesn’t go away easily.
This is my third drama with Liu Yuning, and in my opinion, this is his best so far. We all know he’s a great actor, especially in costume dramas — but this one? It’s a wow for me. I could really see and feel all his emotions. That strong, domineering aura of Lord Wei, yet soft like a puppy when Lady Qiao is mad. 😁😂
This is my first drama with Song Zuer and I must say — she is really good! I love how expressive her face is. She’s so freaking beautiful. She carried the character of “the wife from the enemy clan” incredibly well — so calm and smart.
The chemistry — oh my goodness, the top-notch, undeniable chemistry between Liu Yuning and Song Zuer is off the charts! 🙌🙌🙌 From intense stares and emotional confrontations to the soft, vulnerable moments — you feel every bit of the tension, the push and pull, the slow-burning affection, and the eventual deep love. They brought out the best in each other and made the whole journey feel authentic and heart-fluttering.
I really don’t understand why this drama is getting so much hate. The ratings are low, and people are calling it boring or cringy, especially in the second half. But come on— they can’t be lovey-dovey all the time! 😅 It’s a drama; challenges are necessary! Even in real life, love isn’t always smooth sailing. Some are also complaining about inaccuracies in the snowboarding techniques, but honestly, this is a feel-good romantic comedy filled with so many sweet moments that will make you jealous. So don’t miss out!
Wei Zhi is absolutely adorable! Esther Yu is always phenomenal in rom-coms, and she’s perfect for this role. She plays a sweet, innocent, rich girl (like a princess) who loves love and enjoys being cute. So don’t blame Esther for her character—she nailed it! ❤️
This was my first Lin Yi drama, so I can’t fully judge his acting range yet. I actually dropped Everyone Loves Me because it wasn’t my cup of tea, but he was great here! You can truly feel his sincerity in taking care of Wei Zhi. Plus, he’s so handsome! 😍
People were saying that it's not good because there were attack on the drama and main lead on Chinese internet…
And some viewers also criticize Tian Xi Wei when she was just portraying the character with the guide of the directors.. Some reviewers are unfair too.. Its a good thing that I like them both so I didn't bother much the reviews of others.. ☺️
Hmm... Honestly, I didn’t expect much from this drama since I saw some posts and comments saying that it's not good at all. People are already dropping it even though the drama has just begun. But since I am a fan of Dylan and Xi Wei, I was still willing to watch it, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made in choosing and watching a drama. The GOTD was so good!!! There were no dull moments... every episode and case was satisfying. The fighting scenes were superb! The actors and actresses are amazing. Sometimes you’ll feel like you want to be part of the Guardians too. You’ll get hooked on every episode. BUT there are still some unanswered questions, and some episodes left me confused. When do you think they will release part 2?
Initially I was hooked on this drama.. it is very cute.. very light.. it is not something you will be stressed about or be pissed because of some other characters.. but the second half of the drama is dragging and boring with a lot of side characters popping.. I know it is part the drama but I want more or MIAO MIAO and ZIQI.. I was not even satisfied with the ending..😅 (Not because it doesn't have a kissing scene.. Esther and Ryan's chemistry and bickering are cute and satisfying enough that I am not bothered if they will kiss or not.
Esther portray it very well.. She is a natural.. I know that not everyone likes how she talks or find her voice annoying but that is how she is.. It is natural for her and the character itself fits her.. I think black costumes suits Ryan Ding! He is very handsome here even on his Demon Aura / Black Lotus Aura! 😍😍😍
It was a roller coaster of emotions! 🥹🥺 .. but why is it always Liu Yuning?
The Story of Pearl Girl was one of my most anticipated dramas because I love Liu Yuning and Zhao Lusi. They are one of the tandems I’ve been waiting for, and I was very excited to see Liu Yuning as Zhao Lusi’s male lead. Well, we can’t deny it—their chemistry is to die for. The way they portrayed their characters felt so sincere, like they truly embodied them. You could feel their love and sincerity for each other—the way they looked at each other, the way they held each other—it felt so different, so real. My emotions were so invested in this drama.
I was so pissed off at the ending, but then I reminded myself that this is The Story of Pearl Girl, not The Story of Yan Zhijing…😆 I know, I know… maybe the story was meant to show that Yan Zhijing was the type of man who comes into your life to teach you, guide you, love you, and make you strong—someone who leaves a deep impact on you so that you’ll never forget him, no matter what happens…
She is not the most disliked FL you just don't like her period. 😂If you really understand the story, her breaking…
hahahaah! personal attack? When I just stated the truth and my opinion. The fact that you can't handle a criticism when you criticize a fictional character which are love and like by others is hypocrisy. Then if is not a fictional character but a real one with the same attitude / experience and upbringing will you like her? will you not attack her? You make me laugh! 😂😂😂 And now your playing a victim card.
yeah! you CLEARLY can make that you call but still didn't. You choose to criticize and attack. your not just attacking a fictional character but a writer or a person with the same character.😂😂😂 Don't play a victim card here when you started attacking and me defending. 😂😂😂
From the moment I saw the trailer, I was already hooked. I waited months for this drama and even held off watching until it was completed—because I cannot deal with waiting for episodes 😅
