Some characters are such complete jerks that you’ll feel like jumping into the mission yourself just to put them in their place. Every one of Su Lüxia’s missions is a lesson in itself.

In the side story part, ML’s character was extremely misogynistic, there were another supporting female villain, and there were two villains in Elegant Society, but Daisy’s character felt like the biggest villain to me. And so did Su Luxia’s husband.

Maybe there could be a romance between the scumbag and the mistress, but the main character Su Lüxia, gets her revenge. She kills two birds with one stone.

There’s supposed to be another high-budget drama from Tencent releasing in August. I’d be happy if they released it during a less crowded time slot. Though you can’t really trust Tencent / iQIYI.

If you don’t mind me saying, the actor selection in some arcs wasn’t very good. On the other hand, in some arcs, almost all the selections were pretty good. The Republican era casting was done well. But a few cases were bad. Why were there so few actors in the first arc — only one?
