What annoys me the most is how her character’s self-respect in SOTB suddenly collapsed. It was handled so poorly and made her look incredibly weak. She’s dependent on the male lead, yet the drama portrays her as more stubborn than intelligent. The writers could have done a much better job with her character instead of making her rely solely on the male leads.

Lately, xianxia/donghua-style dramas haven't been seeing much success. Standard, impactful, female-centric costume dramas are a better choice.
