She gave him ultimatum if he doesn’t bring hurt protection scale she will kill them. 1 hour 1 will be killed and also killed one baby elf girl. Tian Yao gave some protection to Yan Hui before that.
He stabbed Yan Hui to take heart protection scale quickly because he already in trauma ' to save baby elves '
***Heart Protection scale originally belongs to Tian Yao.But in the betrayal incident Tian Yao throw the heart protection scale because he doesn’t want to give it his evil ex. At that time heart protection scale chooses baby Yan Hui because her heart was weak it saved her life.***
