I think there are different versions of the "Zhan Zhao / Yu Ling Lin" novel. This version might be a different variation. I don’t think Ding Yuehua is Zhan Zhao’s wife. Instead, this story seems to be showing the mystery of the Ding family. It’s possible that there is another universe for Zhan Zhao, like Batman, Spider-Man, or Superman. In this version, the main female lead is Hua Linglong.

She always keeps her face covered with a veil. Only in Episode 6 was she seen grieving, and even then she had a white cloth over her head. She doesn’t even talk excessively, yet you dislike her this much!😅

She listed as a support role in cast list even Zhang Ming'en is getting more screentime than her till ep 6. She is not acting bad here. She appeared only few minutes in some episodes.

Maybe they are waiting for perfect time. I mean they don’t want clash with traffic actor/actresses.

I don't think he's a bad actor, but I don't like Yang Yang in peak comedies. Rather, I like his acting in sad or less humorous dramas. And his dialogue delivery is better and less cringeworthy than in a lot of traffic actors. He is always handsome in costume drama.

Luckily I was watching it quickly or I wouldn't have been able to watch it. I watched episode 1 on Youku at 2X speed and then watched the rest with great difficulty.

How many old dramas of Youku haven't been released? Shouldn't they release all of them first then film new dramas? They keep making new dramas without releasing the old ones properly.

Well, Love Beyond The Grave nominated for best visual effect in Korea International Streaming Festival

It was there at last year’s conference, but not this year. But Youku is dangerous, shelving dramas is not a big deal for them. They even shelved 'An Eternal Thought'. Yet TEF is still available on their Youku International app. Who knows how things work! If they’re lucky, many dramas get released even after 3 years. Maybe some issue happened, and the production company is keeping it secret. And just because something is included in the conference lineup doesn’t mean it’s confirmed for release this year. Honestly, Youku’s list of unreleased dramas is very long.

Don’t worry, most of the main male characters here are villain/grey-type characters. Even if there is romance with her, he will either betray or act like a negative character against her, so the age gap won’t really matter. Except for 'Zero' character who is the love interest! If they are going to add his character, it would’ve been better to choose someone closer in age.

Yeah, the recent Youku conference(drama list) is putting this drama at the very end.
