Great Watch

I am so glad Yu Cheng En got to play the villain. I am so used to seeing him play all the puppy roles. But I could not take him serious because of it. The plot was plotting.. But who can hate that cherub looking face. I wish I got to see who would actually win at the end. Between the Main characters. I wish I got to see them married, take on roles in the kingdom and have kids. This is a Open ending

Not a waste of time. It's actually good.

This is a short drama. But I must say there wasn't enough story to tell. However this can have a prequel or sequel.
Favorite character was Baek Hye Ji. She had this special Coocoo for Coco puff. You didn't;t know what to expect. Is she a spy? nope. Was she going to turn on Kim Yeong Ran? Nope, turns out the poor girl just wanted a genuine friendship.
And who else thought Jeon Dong Min was the Heir that the chairman wanted to give the company and his wealth to? I thought he was like his lost son that he had to keep a secret because his stepkids killed his bio daughter.
There are a lot of unanswered plot twist. But I am happy with the ending. Because evil lost.
But I am impressed with Jang Yoon Ju. She got to play a evil character and she did so well. I am used to see he as a wholesome supporting role. The whole time I was like unnie.. come through with the range...
But I need her to play a super bad ass next role. where she whoops so much behind

Another cute drama.

I feel the cliff hanger from episode 11 was resolved way too soon in episode 12. I get there was a lot to cover in episodes two. either way it would have been a drag if they made this show with 16 episodes. In fact this could have been 10.
Jung So Min is well.. Jung So Min. She doesn't have too much range. She is good old roasted chicken. Good and consistent. I've watched her for a decade and she gets the job done.
I don't think I've seen Choi Woo Shik in a ML capacity before. But l'll take that cutie potato in any shape or form. I want to see him with a broader range of character. Possibly a wolf in sheep clothing villain one.
Would I watch this again? yes, but I wouldn't go out of my way to . I came, I binge and like and were moving to the next one

And they Actually live "Happily ever after"

If you like the Moon embracing the sun. You will love this one. This took me back to the good ol' days of good plot, great acting, and supporting roles.
Kim Se Jeong is able to act with so much emotional range. And she does it naturally too. She can be extremely emotional and then hilarious.
And I don't think I have seen Kang Tae Oh ever been emotional in any previous shows. I thought he was going to be this meek crown prince who acts like a HIMBO. But he surprised me. I was crying tears when he finally realized that she was his crown princess that he lost.
And my mean girl Hong Su Zu. great job on making me empathized with your reason. she fought for her love.
This can be re-watched multiple times. especially the ending was full circle. you will get closure.

It was Rushed

There was so much story to tell. Like her upbringing, Palace intrigue from a princess Pov and how it affected her. and I did not get why she even went with the guy she chose at the end.
I feel like netflix wanted to get in to the action of how popular this series was and decided on this short spin off.
Did I want to watch it? Yes

Everything was perfect.. And then..What!?? Why???

You know what I am talking about. The amnesia in the last EP. What the hell was that? I thought we agreed that we would only have these plots in the 100 Episode melodrama. Just when this Drama was giving 2016 peak K-drama. Could have saved us the previous time and give us a wedding instead. Perhaps the birth of the two little munching that came out of nowhere.
Anyway I loved it!

One of the masterpiece!!

In a few years we will look back at this one as a masterpiece. like we do with empress in the palace. It's one the dramas I keep coming back to over and over. I wish I could un-watch it, just to all over again.
The lead has great chemistry. I wasn't too fond of the age gap. But the kings married really young wives then. so...
