Gong Jun was not listed for member to vote because he has not been popular at the time the list was created so this list is out of date just like the first list that you sent. I agree that Allen Ren is also popular but based on the information I have known so far and the most current rankings on different sources, I still see that Gong Jun is rising more popular. However, both Allen Ren and Gong Jun are great actors!

On MDL there’re many lists made by members and only based on the individual favorite of each member. I think the most reliable is the Star Leader Board.

I found the similar list on cpophome and it is just a random list of Chinese Actors, not a ranking list that based on certain criteria.

The list that you shown was out of date!!! It was the list of the top 10 male actors in 2020 when WOH has not been aired and Gong Jun has not been popular so he didn't on the list. I have seen many lists like this and they are just relative because each list has different criteria, audience and those lists constantly change. So for the accurate information you should search for the most current list.

For example, the ranking of the Star Leader Board of kisskh is based on the favourite of MDL members who are willing to give their favourite celebrities the virtual flowers. At the time I wrote this comment, the ranking is:
7: Gong Jun (4,036 flowers)
8: Dilireba (3,622 flowers)
18: Allen Ren (2,116 flowers)

Another example is the list of the "New Four Great Peaks" (Oct 8, 2021). The ranking is based on the work quality, commercial value, influence etc.:

I know Allen Ren's reputation and agree that he is among the great and popular actors. However, after the success of WOH, Gong Jun has been becoming popular as well and at present I do not see any list in which the ranking of Allen Ren is above Gong Jun.

Anyway, both TBW and LOA are great dramas in which there are our favourite actress and actors. So let's enjoy them together when they are aired next year :)

I’m not sure about the accuracy of my information but as far as I know Blue Whisper is produced by Youku and other firm so it’s not totally a production of Youku. Meanwhile LOA 100% is produced by Youku. That’s why LOA is considered the biggest production of Youku. Besides, as compared to Allen Ren, Gong Jun is more popular so there’s still chance that LOA can be aired early. As for it will be aired before or after Blue Whisper, I’m not sure but anything can happen.

Did Gong Jun actually sing in the singing scenes? If he did, he sang pretty good in this drama 😉

As for drama Word Of Honor of Gong Jun, it took about 6 months to be aired. This drama almost finishes filming so it is reasonable that it can be aired in the first quater of next year. Let's hope for the best!

Do you know the filming date of this drama? I thought it would be next year after Gong Jun finishes filming I Want To Go Against The Wind. That's why he's on the cast list.

I hope you would enjoy it. WOH officially has 36 episodes but there's a bonus episode which has the actual ending of the drama. You may have to get membership of Youku on YouTube or Viki to watch episode 37.

I have the same thought with you. Before watching WOH, I didn't like colorful costumes but after seeing how beatiful and elegant Gong Jun weared them, I began like them and got used to them as well. In this drama, the colorful costumes belong to Dilireba, not Gong Jun anymore. I guess her costumes's color also carry certain meaning like in WOH.

If you already like Gong Jun, I also highly recommend you watch WOH. I’m not a fan of BL adaptation neither but I have to admit that WOH is the best drama of Gong Jun so far. He portrayed very well a complicated character, his look and costumes in this drama are also the best. I have watched WOH countless times since it was aired and I’m still currently re-watching it.

Oh, I see. I don't read the novel so I don't know. If his character is a modest prince, then his costumes are absolutely appropriate. As far as I know, the costume designer is the same as in Word Of Honor and he designs costumes based on the character's personalities. I forgot this point. Thank you for your reminder :)

I agree with you about Gong Jun's costumes in this drama. I expected that his costumes would be as beautiful as in drama Word Of Honor but they are not. As a crown prince, his costumes should look more prominent than others.
