The female lead's script must be part of a 3rd or 4th leads script, that they've cut the character out but still wanted a catalyst for all the trouble. This bad scenes and misunderstandings would've worked better for eye patch, suck my fingers maid, and peach tree baby sitter.....heck even the simple maid at MW house.
and wasn't the peach tree babysitter the one responsible for getting eye patch's friend and MW jailed and tortured anyway?
and why are they listening to MWs plot? she had 3 years for the "super plan" and it's all just wingin' it. With everything going on we can just helicopter MW outta the entire show and we'd be better for it.....lol.......like, "oops she disappeared" and let the king be tortured while dealing with his court, mother and "happy tine " flashbacks with MW

She doesn't have much of a range and can't emote. ....So, it's isn't that she's a bad actor or forgettable, she's just unflavored. You can watch her in 5 projects straight and see she's playing the same character over and over again.
The king dressing up in pretty colors for his "dates" and allowing himself to be flattered by MW's excuse of "not being able to hide" how she feels....lol

Because the characters are stupid. They should’ve held back on the 2 characters knowing both have come from the future. Because the premise of someone having to take on the fate makes no sense anymore. If someone at preordained “time” has to get burned, fall or bump instead to stuff then, all she needs to do is get engaged and marry someone else at the “time” it was to happen. She could’ve got engaged to daddy’s gift and been done with it. The chef plot line is way too weak in progression for the boss’s noble idiocy. It’s like some of the important stuff is being rushed with the support being slowed.

It was the plot. Ending up with a non-Chinese man…..like I said they tried to get around censorship by saying the character was half Chinese. But censoring bureau said nope. This is why the 3rd arc is Frankenstein in ending and she ends up with the character played by the Chinese second lead ( she would marry in real life ;) and Rain’s character literally turns forgettable.
You can easily look it up because international watchers were perplexed, this was at the beginning of the major censoring push where anything that had to do with aliens, time travel, non-Chinese male actors even if the played a Chinese character getting the girl lol, lgbtq, rags to riches storyline that didn’t show “working hard” lol……shafted many projects that were currently airing into years in the vault or frantic editing that left things corny. There’s a Peter Ho drama that aired a few months back that’s been so gutted it does not make sense and it’s been so long that it’s obviously outdated in the writing style/plot. Its laughable.
But thus drama, now the female lead had a scandal about having a surrogate, that’s a no-no, then abandoning the kids with her “husband “ when she changed her mind….lol. This is never coming out.
In the last episode in last scene Chu ye was dead!Otherwise,how this little boy's father & mother name was same?.😶
That's how I saw it too. But that also makes no sense because she wasn't as close to the main's as the princess was and why would she long for them and not the commitment phobic ShiSan

This is why he over-compensated with the "playboy" persona and ran at the marriage talk. He wines and plays but they never say he actually slept with any of them
