I said it days ago...LT was going to be the weakest link, and they went out of their way with this poor kid to unnecessarily, just gave him growth to take it away for no reason but to end the show.
It's like they decided he was going to be the end game plot device and got mad at themselves for allowing him growth and had to stop and say "but wait he was supposed to be an impulsive manbaby" and just shoe-horned that shizz in in the last moments..
So he was literally there to get everyone shot in the A$$ for not having any patience...lol

As far as the rest of the drama goes, this conclusion was lame with a double A and F

lol. I think she's in a drama with a guy in his 40s. Her character is a chef and he's a CEO of course...they have amazing chemistry in that. But the ML in that can have chemistry with a rock...lol

The plot issue was "Korean lead gets the girl".....lol. This started around Rain's entry in Diamond Lover, where the powers that be made gave a lobotomy to the script and shoe-horned the second lead as endgame. This is why the drama does not make sense towards the middle end...Jade Lovers that was finishing production at the time, got tabled....looks like forever now.
Go do a deep dive into what was happening in censorship land around that time. They tried making Rain's character a mixed blood Chinese -Korean lol for filming but, that wasn't enough.

For this story I don’t think it’s needed for her arc anyway and would take away from her growth.

slaves are owned by someone. They were reduced to a step above peasants as they had a home to go to and he had choice in life decisions though greatly reduced. They killed themselves instead of thinking of farming their old land or existing. None of the women or children of the household were "given" away to become servants. They chose to die, he chose to become dude's servant without a name change.
Slaves are not given choices.
