Dream to you and ALMOST to me....
Watched this show having great hopes and i gotta say the chemistry was there, vibrant and palpable and the acting is great, no question BUT....it fell flat.
The high school days story was very cute at first but I was still a bit confused when it came to the modern days plot and behaviours showed...still waited to see what they were planning to do with the writing as i had mixed feelings and unfortunately, they kinda remained, regardless of the plot threading forward. Some stuffs were explained and yet I felt like the writing was somewhat a bit wobbly, i cannot really pintpoint what exactly was so wrong about it and maybe I had high expectations myself but I just simply cannot think about what a waste of chemistry that was. It felt rushed, messy and there were too many dramatic side plots and events that truly were not needed or i did not feel were justifiying enough the situations we were in. Besides, not enough deepness to certain characters.
Now the good, the acting was great, from everyone and the chemistry was there, for ALL the couples and maybe that is what saved the show and made it enjoyable to me. I found the whole "dream" study interesting and even if it wasn't explored the way i would have liked, i think it is one of the biggest point of the show and really added texture, especially to the main lead couple. Again, I was very surprised by the visual and overall chemistry of Lee Heyri and Hwang Inyoup, so much so I hope they'll meet again in a more well written work because I feel like they can provide more!
