Can anyone explain how Meng Xiaoshan and her husband fit into the both main leads' families? She is kind of the FL's sister, but like actual sister, or half-sister, cousin sister, or what? And the husband is just ML's buddy, or also a family member? And she is also somehow in ML's family? I'm so confused...

There's something about the face of the ML actor... I can't tell what it is, but I don't really like to look at him (I'm not saying he's ugly, I guess he's actually quite handsome, I just can't get there). I had this feeling before with other actors and actresses (not many, like 2 or 3) and mostly I ended up finding one of their dramas where it just fit. I found one role they played really naturally and my eyesight was healed, I was ok with them afterwards.
Anyone who watched this drama, tell me, did this role fit Xiong Ziqi? Like, did it feel comfortable, natural, right...? If not, can anyone suggest a drama of his, where you feel like that was a well developed character that is nice to watch? (I'm perfectly fine with an antagonist as well, as long as it is well played)

They don't aaactually get together in this season. In episode 24 she is drunk, they kiss and he kind of admits his feelings. But afterwards he keeps denying and then asks her to give him a little more time.
There is another guy who likes her and chases her basically throughout the entire series.
No breakups, as they never got really together.
The ending is just not an ending. You can't call it happy or unhappy, nothing gets resolved, everything is still open. This season 1 is basically just the 1st half of a 60 ep drama.
