I wonder if this is a romance story as I am in episode 20 and the 2 MLs have not discovered that they like each…
Yes there will be romance. The drama is only at the end of the half way mark. Its not unusually for drama with 40 episodes for it to take time. They do like one another, the FML is aware but keeps daydreaming and talking herself out of it. The ML has lots of problems to figure out, he does respond with care and concern for her in a way he doesn't for others.. Someone close to him is trying to harm him. This has most of his attention. I think the FL will help him with discovering who is poisoning him, and help emotionally handle the betrayal and he will help her with growing as a chef, along the way the romance will blossom. The trailer shows them hugging and kissing several times. Yeah...4 episodes a day the next 4 days so it won't be long.
whether it was Anna manipulating him or trauma 27 years back. Anna deserved that slap. Any actions he did after…
AHHH NP! I like to get into her brain and ask her many questions. She is kind to answer me. I learn so much. It is fun. She has helped with advice. I think I am very lucky to have her as my roommate.

They are not a couple for many years. Korea's family law says domestic violence includes assault, injury, "ABANDONMENT", abuse, arrest, confinement, intimidation, and so on between family members which inflict physical, MENTAL, or property DAMAGE.

I'm in Asia. My roommate is a highly respected international lawyer with a degree from SNU in Korea. I shared with her this chat conversation. She agrees with you @soultoseoul on many things you said. The law is defined uniquely by each country. but it is carried out by the personal interruption of each judge, jury, and scenario. The ex-wife's abandonment of her husband and child and her concealment of identity to manipulate for personal benefit are both considered evidence, they would include in any judgment if he was charged. If it goes to court, a lawyer will present a case that the ex-husband's emotional reaction was are related to her abuses. They would want him to visit a doctor and also interview his friends or co-workers. If he has no history of fighting or violence, the lawyer said he would get a lesser charge or no charge. In some countries, he may be required to go to counseling while under probation if a judge feels it is better suited than reprimanding him with punishment if he isn't a threat to other people. The ex-husband could sue his ex for the emotional abuse, abandonment, and for hiding her identity to get him and their daughter to get them to come to America. The lawyer also said most legal systems would want to know both sides. The police will need to see CCTV footage, hospital reports, and text messages. If he attacks her again and she gets hurt the judge will be less lenient. ALL of her actions and his are looked at by the Judge equally.
He will lose his memory in a future episode and only remember what happened at age 22 and before. They mention…
I'm thankful for the attention to detail. I often enjoy your comments and how you take the time to explain things. I know you know this first hand, living in Korea is sometimes like another world, much is lost in translation, not just in words but cultural behaviors and thinking. The additional insight is always good especially when a global audience is involved..
I love this drama. The kids are exception actors, especially tears and expressive emotions. The leads are so cute together. I really hope Sara's plots and plans don't fill up most of the 50 episodes and she moves on to dating Cha Gun. I am curious when Young Guk will get amnesia and how long they will keep him in that state. In real life it would be very hard on the kids, dad doesn't remember them. They don't have a mom.
I'm not entirely sure how the rating system is calculated. My understanding from reading a few posts in the forum is that the rating in part is scored by the number of episodes a person states they have viewed. The more episodes the higher the value their vote holds.
I enjoyed this drama purely for the leads. I loved the way they support one another and remained strong when everything…
I agree with you, the sister and ex's parts lacked substance, the side couple didn't need as much time on the screen. but SZ and XQ made me keep on with it. I am glad it ended well for everyone, and they showed their life post marriage. Not sure what I will start watching next. sigh.
I looked up the scriptwriter on Baidu. I found two Yu Xiaoqian and Wu Damao. Yu Xiaoqian has participated in several dramas in the past. Wu Damao doesn't appear to have history, at least on the site. The way this story is written I am wondering if each writer was given one part, the lead couple is written completely different from the secondary couple. There are very few connecting points between the characters. Also, the story of the EX is really weak, sometimes he is there and other times he's not. I don't know, maybe the writers were working together, on the other hand, what if they had to work separately at some point. There is a lack of synergy within the story and it keeps coming to mind.
No dramas air or are subbed during the holiday. I am so happy.
