Haha, to be honest at this point, I am totally fine if they remove all the traces of BL or bromance. If they focus the relationship on strong master-disciple bond, it still makes a lot of sense to the plot in overall. After all, it is normal in xianxia/wuxia for master and disciple to sacrifice for each other and have loyalty level even more than a lover.
