Now that I think about it, I think they did to prevent airing. The attention it draw freaked tencent out, it is BL adapted so it has to air without any notice, any big anticipation etc, now it already got big attention.

Haha, we all know this novel is a complete combination of all the things which are banned in China. So, tencentâs appetite for risk was already huge enough when they decided to film this, why back up now, right? But again, right now it is not only about watching the drama or caring about tencent, I just donât want any actors or crews being a victim
Can somebody explain to me, I am a bit lost on wenzhao part. His father used to work for uncle zha, but then XL had to marry him because his family is so powerful etc. If his father worked for uncle zha, then how come XL family is less powerful than his?

But overall, I am proud that most of us are responsible fans. We are not selfish in only thinking about our own satisfaction of getting to watch the drama, but we actually think and care about the crews, the actors, and the whole BL adaptation community. Itâs kinda dilemma. Now or later, there will never be âbest timeâ. Releasing it now amidst the storm is risky. Not releasing it asap is also risky as nobody knows if BL adaptation will be banned in the future. I guess this will always be the pain for BL adaptation enthusiast like us đ

If it is really scheduled to air, I would still prefer to just air it, regardless the outside chaos.
