And I sometimes admire how consistent and how strong their characters are...I mean, they are not easily bent, and it takes gut and strong principle to maintain what you believe in. But well yeah, we are in this world which we also need to be flexible to survive...

No no, I mean character as for personality...like a trait. I am saying, ZP did things because it is his trait, his personality. While LJ did things because he has plan, he has something he wants to achieve. Exactly like what you said. For me, it is like "ZP did something stupid because he is indeed stupid; while LJ would do something stupid because he had a plan which required him to act stupid"...you know what I mean? Anyway, it is a good movie, we both enjoy it...and it is totally okay to stand for a different person. I was just sharing my feeling towards the two leads and how I took on their characters...there is no rule saying all the viewers should have the same view, right?
Theres’s a lot of dramas w/o fl and mostly male centered. Now FL cast with no ml is rare lol

Exactly! But the thing is, I got disappointed so many times already. Many started off with strong and willful FL, and then eventually they ended up damsel in distress...so I am super wary whenever I watch c dramas...like worried all the time that FL will disappoint me!
