3. There was 1 breakup in this drama. And to be honest, as female. I would never make up with GW if I were LZX. What GW did was probably understandable in his condition, and I didn't judge or blame him as a human being. But if my bf did this to me, it would really traumatize me and I think I would have trust issue with him forever in my life. So, I don't think I would want to spend the rest of my life with him, or more like I don't want to risk it. I mean, he backed away when his career was sinking...he lost it and not able to fight back until LZX's 'slapped' him with her wordings. So, although he did manage to solve it later, but as a gf, I would feel really insecure and would keep questioning "what if something worse happened in the future? what if I never found out and not able to help because he just left and didn't give me the chance to discuss it with him' etc etc...

1. I love LZX's family so much. The father-daughter, mother-daughter, father-mother relationships are amazing and it touched me the most. I think this family relationship is the main reason why I enjoy this drama. All three actor+actresses acted superb! The way they argued, the way they cried, worried, joked around etc...so natural! And YZ's acting is really really on a different level, she could do that 'red eyes' or 'eyes with a few drops of tears' or even 'shaking lips holding cry' very naturally! And all the face expression is very timely, very relevant to the emotion in each situation. Love it!
2. The romance between LZX and GW for me is just 'average'. I mean, yeah, some first encounter, some sweet moments, some conflicts here and there...some 2ML or 2FL actions etc, but nothing special. The chemistry between YZ and XZ made it believable. Otherwise, the romance was just simple, not deep enough for me (maybe because the couple didn't actually go through too much together, they dated for a short time). So, it is not the type of 'hard' romance that will touch me. At least, I never really cried in this drama due to their relationship. I only cried due to LZX's family issues.

I think a lot of this female stereotype came with a typical background e.g. certain magic that made the FL lacked of intelligence or social skill (such as the FL in AoL or Love and Redemption), or like GuXiang who grew up in a secluded place having very limited exposure to the outside world. But honestly, maybe my c drama list is not that many, but I think only these few dramas have this stereotype. In most costume dramas, I think the stereotype mostly is about FL taking a revenge with limited fighting skill (or intelligence) and always needs saving from the ML. That's the most frequent stereotype I ever encountered. There are always scenes where FL took a dangerous action (knowingly they are weak)...and then end up in trouble and being saved by ML. So, this 'stupid bravery' trait is always there...make it sounds like these FL are lack the capability to evaluate the situation and decide wisely...
But if you take the modern c drama, I think the most frequent stereotype is FL who has cute and cheerful personality, a bit childish sometimes...and they always managed to win the heart of mature men (like their boss, their seniors in class etc)...
It is interesting the way you put Guxiang character that way. It somehow helped me remember her in that drama...thanks! Yes, somewhat agree with you. GuXiang is just an innocent soul, with limited exposure to the world...so whatever reaction, feeling, action she took were the most honest, the most natural or default state without too much overthinking. Also added by her loyalty to WKX, so her world seemed to be just her own feeling or WKX's instruction. I think it was slowly changed when she got involved with love, where she started getting exposed to someone outside her circle...
