Yes, you would be surprised, so many gestures, touching, flirting happening in WoH. That's why people were so shocked on how WoH actually managed to pass the censorship! And they also said, WoH kinda took all the quota for BL because after WoH aired, the whole rule became stricter and more ridiculous! They also said, if you watched the international version, the dialog was original...so the flirting and so many wordings were as per script, while in China, some dialog were replaced into non flirting sense. So yes, you will be fluffy and happy watching this!
I really like this drama...and really sad the rating went so low :( I guess many viewers forgot that this drama was made to accurately follow the history setup (culture, clothings, etc). So, the whole struggle females had, and the arrogant and emotional emperor etc...really, don't blame the actor/actress, I think they portrayed the characters really well. Though yes, for all Yanxi Palace victims (whose hearts were broken that FL and SML couldn't be together) might feel frustrated on the 'cat and mouse' game they are playing in this drama...but we get many good moments later on...so be patient!

Haha, yes, people in mdl is funny. You know, I came across this user who attacked me and defended an actress so badly, but she claimed she was neutral and was not a fan of this actress. But I found her in another page, talking good things about the same actress and proudly said she was a fan. Funny, right? I mean, come on, just be yourself...if you are a fan and you are bias, admit it. Do not try to be a neutral viewer who purely loved the drama. Sometimes, with dramas with big stars, people tend to look for honest and neutral reviews...but it is hard, because they need to be able to spot if the reviewers are fans or not. I mean, come on, obviously you can't get a neutral and honest review from me for a show with LYX in it, because yes I admit I will be bias!!! Haha But honestly, I don't want to trap others to watch a drama which I think they won't like just because I want them to see my fav actor/actress.
If someone is clearly a hater, who tried to ignite a war by throwing a 'hate-leading' sentences...clearly we shouldn't spend any effort trying to defend or even convince her/him to continue watching...
