That is so interesting about the 3rd bullet to ban "effeminate men". I just saw an article today about how male…
Or the other way around, they probably force women to be masculine as well, be strong to defend country if there is war 😅 Basically banning feminism once and for all 😞
😑 (this emoji for 5 minutes straight)WTF, societies and their problems with feminity again. You know what go…
And the adjective ‘effeminate’ is very very subjective, I wonder how they will clearly define it. Why don’t they just ban all the male cosmetic products then 😞
“The country's official Xinhua News Agency criticised what it termed society's effeminate male celebrities in 2018.”
“In 2019, during further moves on censorship, China blurred out the earlobes of some of its young male pop stars in television and internet appearances to hide their piercings. Tattoos and men's ponytails have also previously been blurred from screens.”
My advice: don’t read the title of people’s posts or their comments, they are just personal thoughts. Read the real articles. So far, from what I understand, here are what’s legit:
1. Limit anyone under 18 to three hours per week of online games and prohibit school day play 2. Broadcasters should avoid promoting “vulgar internet celebrities” and admiration of wealth and celebrity 3. Ban on what it termed “effeminate men” 4. Ban on survival shows which require voters to pay to vote
Basically, the whole movement is targeting the behavior of ‘idol fandom’. So, I am so sick of people trying to correlate this to BL adaptation. Unless it is officially announced, and specifically mentions BL, I choose to keep my optimism.
