I like the hate to love genres. lol bickering couples that fall in love are my fave!

I like the school c-dramas. They tend to make those better than the Koreans do. My favorite c-drama is Hidden Love. I’ve watched it 3 times already and never get tired of it.

Ashes of love is ok. I use it as a filler to watch when nothing else is catching my interest. I’m only about halfway through it so I still have a long way to go - it’s one that may take me months to finally finish because I am not in a big hurry. Starry Love is actually pretty good so far. It’s been pretty funny because the ML gets so annoyed with FL - she’s quite a handful. 😂 someone else also recommended Kunning Palace so it must be pretty good.

I still havent seen Lovely Runner or Twinkling Watermelon. LOL So I am pretty new to the whole wuxi and Xianxia dramas. Ive not watched very many. I did really like Dominator of Martial Gods. I have Story of Kunning Palace and Wonderland of Love in my lists to watch - also Duolou Continent and Love and Rdemption. I am currently watching The Starry Love and Ashes of Love - I am one that binges many episodes then I go watch something else for a while. LOL So i have a lot of different dramas going. New Life Begins is alos in my list to watch. If you can recommend happy ending titles I can see if I have them in my list and if not I can add them because this is a genre I am really starting to get interested in.

Favorite wuxia or just favorite overall. I tend to lean towards c-dramas as well although I watch a lot of k/dramas - it depends on my mood - I tend to cycle through various Asian dramas

I think this is the reason I am going back and rewatching a lot of the older dramas because they are so much better!

Yeah I just feel like the world is bad enough as it is in real life - I watch dramas to escape all that so I want happy endings!

I can agree with the chemistry part if they would leave kiss scenes out altogether but don’t insult our intelligence with a fake kiss scene or using stand-ins and then use recycled the footage. If he doesn’t want to do kiss scenes then just don’t even have them in his dramas. They should tag them “slight romance”. For me, I think kissing is a natural part of a romance. But like you said, everyone’s preferences are different. Different people have different love languages.

I might give it a try later then. Landy Li is one of my all time favorite actresses. I have enjoyed everything I have watched her in.

Is this really that good (i am looking at the rating) - I have a hard time watching Allen Ren because his lack of kiss scenes - Ive seen a couple of his dramas but once i noticed they seemed to have recycled footage of a kiss scene in 2 of his dramas and that he doesn't even do kiss scenes, I just couldn't get interested in his dramas after that. Which is too bad because overall he is a good actor but dont patronize your audience with fake kissing scenes that are obvious.

Finally watched this and despite all the bad comments below, I really liked this movie. Was it the best I’ve ever seen? No, but I just enjoyed it. I wish it had been longer - maybe they could do a remake of this as a drama. Who was the guy that played Muse? His voice was so beautiful.

I think we all could write better daily dramas than these so-called screenwriters. They all seem to really suck.

ahh I see the daily drama writers have not changed one bit. I was so hoping Seo Joon Young would have a great script this time but seems like it didnt happen. That sucks because he really is a good actor.

I’m halfway through and I love it. Not sure why some people felt there was no chemistry - it’s just the way the ML was - even in their high school days he was just very quiet and unassuming. But I thought their attraction was obvious. I think she was more in love with the ex’s writing than she was actually in love with him - just my observation. And being a teen she wasn’t really recognizing the signs of falling in love with our ML - had she not been so wrapped up in the love stories I think she may have realized she liked him and would have reciprocated his feelings - I do hate the tropes where one leaves without giving a good reason then years later shows up and just expects their ex to fall all over themselves with gratitude and love to have you waltz right back into their life. Sorry dude but you screwed up. Even his manager said “don’t two people in love work through the trying times together?”
