I havent started this yet but have been so tempted to but, like you, I am not sure i want to start this until it is either finished or at least half-way finished. I hate waiting for episodes for a drama I really like - it's torture! LOL

I think Pyeong Sang Uk's body was able to be healed enough for the host to enter it but not enough to heal it all the way - so the body was failing and deteriorating to the point the host couldn't sustain it any longer - and the host was clearly weakened by the fire - so going back into the deteriorating body and not being able to heal it fully any longer (which is why i believe he never healed the eye - the body was already failing him after being in it over a year) he wasn't able to survive. Just my take on that.
I believe Ji Soo was infected as well. When they were doing to practice drills she clearly was bleeding from the nose - that was real, not for the practice, because she was washing it all off and looking very concerned. And if it wasn't real, how would she have blood gushing from her nose like that? No way - she was infected but the writers just seemed to have forgot that or ignored it. I had hoped she would show up to help as a surprise cameo but they failed to do that. And maybe she really died because she became emotionless towards the end - she was fatigued and beyond caring - other than to save Yeong Su. She was clearly experiencing what we call Battle Fatigue/combat stress reaction: "The most common symptoms are fatigue, slower reaction times, indecision, disconnection from one's surroundings, and the inability to prioritize." she no longer had any desires because she became incapable of having them - so she never turned and eventually was able to just die. This is the only thing I could think of about her because she clearly had been infected.

I thought blue eyed Hyun Su was going to kiss her at the beginning but she kicked him instead. LOL That scene was intense!! Clearly bad hyun Su and Good Hyun Su were of the same thought about her - just good Hyun Su was too shy and timid to tell her he liked her.

Realized Yi Su and Yeong Su are shown at the end - she is in a white shirt and he is looking up at her smiling (he is wearing the same clothes he had on when he was monsterized by her) she has obviously aged again because she looks more like a woman - but it clearly shows the black scar on her arm - so they both must have become neohumans.

Honestly I loved season 2 - but I rewatched 1 then binged season 2 all this past weekend and week so I would be up to date for 3 and I felt like the 2 seasons flowed better watching back to back rather than leaving a huge gap in watching the two in between. Season 2 was necessary for survivor storylines and backgrounds to finish up season 3. I loved how they consistently showed up flashbacks to season 1 that had additional scenes we didn’t see at first - which helped give us additiona insight into what happened during those scenes.

Very anti-climatic ending but I guess it makes sense. I am glad they tied up some loose ends a bit but still left some things a bit unanswered from seasons 1 and 2 for me.several people showed symptoms of infection yet never turned - several monsters killed but not by fire - which I didn’t think was possible. All in all I gave it a 9.5.

But did she really die? She showed symptoms of being infected in season 1 but then it was never brought up again. I can’t help but wonder if she will show up in season 3 as a surprise.

Sun-Jae is main character in LR. I have not watched the drama yet either. LOL But almost every post on IG is about this drama. It's all about the money. When something is successful, everyone wants a piece of it.
