I just went back and rewatched the first episode and Seri clearly says to Gi CHan in the hotel room that She knew what she was getting into since he was married - so Gi Chan was already married to Jae In. I totally missed that clue. This timeline is a bit messed up

if she was with Gi Chan before she met Tae Ho then that means Gi Chan knew Seri BEFORE he married Jae In. which means my theory that he and seri targeted Jae In might be correct. i am curious too to see how that plays out tomorrow because it really did make it seem like she had been with Gi Chan a year before Tae Oh which would have been approx 8 years previously - which means she was with Gi Chan 9 years previously - that was before Gi Chan and Jae In married……

right? i was so happy she went with her.

you know why i dont feel any ounce of sympathy towards Gi Chan - because he studied to be a Prosecutor and passed the bar. his job was to put the bad guys away. he knew right from wrong, and he decided to go down the wrong path. yes, his mothing raised him wrong but when you become an adult and you know what is right and what is wrong, and you pick a field that teaches you the law - right from wrong - then that all falls on you. He needs to take responsibility for his actions.

yeah i am probably going to skip it. i had enough lust in this drama with seri and her revolving door of bed partners.

yeah that scene made no sense considering all the crap he has done to her - i was surprised the doc didnt grab Gi Chan - letting Bo Ram see that gives the imoression that what happened was okay.

wow, i love seo jun young. i watched him in Apple of My Eye (horrible writing in that drama but the cast was phenomenal).

naw, he might be a nice guy but he has slept with Seri - i wouldnt want to be with him if I were Jae In.

why in the WORLD did Jae In allow that cheating scumbag drag her away and why in the WORLD did she get in the car with him?? sometimes she can be pretty darn smart and at other times she acts like she lost her brains somewhere along the way.

KUDOS to Gi Man - he gets the prize as the best character in today’s episode. His homewrecker comments were hilarious. (I still think he is faking it)

I totally agree - unless she lost all those assets (money) when she signed those papers in her drug induced state to Gi Chan - but if she had, why didnt he question how much money she had - unless he thought it was from her family?

When I said they waited 7 years - i meant they waited that long before Gi Chan showed his hand - and if the whole thing with Do Hee hadn't happened, he would have just stolen the money through the false contracts he set up with "Catherine" - Gi Chan didn't know his father-in-law was going to find out and then have a heart attack so all of that happened to Gi Chan's unwitting advantage - after that there was no reason to stick with Jae In - enter mom with drugs and bam - institutionalize her but not before having her sign documents in her drugged state (which should have made all of that null and void) to turn over her assets (minus her shares) and signed divorce papers (another thing that should have been null in void but I can see why she wouldn't contest that in a court of law). But he didn't show his hand until he got caught as a thief by Do Hee and as a cheater by his father-in-law. I don't think they set up any slush fund - if they had, Gi Chan would have used it to sustain his household and himself at work. No, he is counting on finding the funds that Jae In's father left for her - that is the only reason he is sticking around at this point. He wants that money so he can high-tail it out of there and leave Seri and his family behind. That's why Seri was so mad when she found out about the hidden money he was after - because he didn't tell her about it.
Also remember Ja Young was very much against their marriage - He never won her over to his side and she never let him forget it - another thing that ate at him for 7 years - he and Seri probably had a lot of pillow talk about Jae In's family and of course Seri fed the flames by telling him how she felt mistreated by Jae In during school days - totally leaving out the fact that she impersonated jae In and seduced men as her.
If she was pregnant with Tae Oh's baby when she left him, she had to have already been sleeping with Gi Chan at that point in order to make him believe he was Ji Ho's father. That is probably why he committed Bigamy and married her in the US - but he would not have been able to spend a lot of time there, even for business, since his job was in Korea and he was part of a chaebol family there and had a wife and kid on the way with Jae In.

i feel sorry for Ji Ho - he doesnt know this man at all and he is going to find out he is his dad and the only dad he has ever known is gi chan. in the long run he will get a better dad out of all this mess but he is going to be one messed up child for a while.

i think for her they go hand in hand. she isnt ugly by any means - and she has been seducing men since she was in school - so she learned quickly that sex sells herself to these men and i think she enjoys it because it IS another way to control them.

i just want to know if gi chan knew seri before jae in and did they plan his marriage to her so he could steal the company (they waited 7 years to do so!) or did he really sleep with seri right after his wedding to jae in (quick trip to the states for business or honeymoon?) 🤷🏼‍♀️ either way, he had to have cheated in jae in within at least a month of marrying her if he thought seri was pregnant with his child….

your comment cracked me up because it was so true! why didnt he look for her and his child? she was still in the US so she wouldnt have been that hard to find.

I’d say seri is pretty lustful - it’s how she has reeled the men in and she has enjoyed it - until they dont react the way she wants them too anymore. Once they realize she is a liar and using them, the jig is up and she moves on to the next - except Gi Chan was her ultimate goal of stabbing Jae In over and over in the back. But now that she has it, she will do whatever it takes to keep it - even if she has to kill gi chan to keep it all. i look for these two to have a fatal showdown by the end - who will still be alive is the question….

yep, i was nodding at every point she was making because she was right on target with how we all feel about mi ran and what she did.

trying to piece together more of this timeline now.

at the beginning of this drama, jae in mentioned being married 7 years to Gi chan and she introduced seri to him at their wedding.

we dont know how many months have passed since the beginning of this drama but i would say at least 6 months to a year - cant really go by the seasons because they dont film much outdoors and their clothing is no indication.

jae in met tae oh in LA 8 years ago - so probably around the time she was getting married - tae oh doesnt mention her being married at that time or knowing she had married so she was probably still “single”.

He had to be involved with Seri at thetime and she was either already involved with gi chan or planning it - jae in might have met up with seri then to invite her to her wedding, not knowing she was tae oh’s girlfriend. Seri probably started thinking of taking gi chan from her from then on as part of her revenge?
